Flight of Fancy, Banner Year, Halloween Card. 2020 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

I bought the new "Flight of Fancy" set because it has three seasons in it, Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine's Day. Plus the Valentine's Day image could be used on an anniversary card. The set looked easy enough to play with. There was no die cut but the images can be stamped without having to be cut out. 

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. On top of it I taped a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Magic in This Night" 12" x 12" paper pack.  I also cut a 4" x 1-3/4" piece of DSP from the same pack. I layered that piece on a 4" x 2" piece of Basic Black card stock. I centered that piece on the front of the card and set it in place using tape.

I die cut the Whisper White piece using the second largest "Stitched Nested Labels" die.  I stamped  the witch from the "Flight of Fancy" set using black Memento ink. I had taped off the swoosh marks from the back of the broom. It made the image too long for the card. It would have fit but it would have been SO close to both sides, so I thought masking it would be better. I do like how she looks without the swoosh marks. 

The words are from the "Banner Year" set and were stamped using Cajun Craze ink.

I colored the broom bristles, wand, stars and moons in her clothes and the moon using the dark Daffodil Delight Blends pen.

Then I colored in her face and hands using the light Petal Pink Blends pen. I gave her a little blushed cheeks using the dark Petal Pink Blends pen.

The tie on the broom was colored in using the light Cajun Craze Blends pen. And the broom handle was colored in using the light Soft Suede Blends pen.

The mouse was colored in using the light Smoky Slate Blends pen and so was her hair.

Her clothes and hat were colored in using the dark Blackberry Bliss Blends pen. 

I added Wink of Stella to the moon, wand tip, and the yellow in her clothes and hat.  I did fussy cut out a moon, only because I had an extra one from fussy cutting the whole image and deciding not to use it. So I colored it in and set it on top of the other moon using a half a tiny Dimensional. I used Wink of Stella on it to give it a little shimmer. 

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White was added to the inside of the card and the card was done.

I think it turned out well. I am not fond of the Halloween DSP but I will manage to work with it from now until Halloween. I won't be ordering anything more until January. I need to play with what I have.

This was a fun card to make and I think it turned out well.

Thank You Card, Friendship Card, Congratulations Card, August 2020 Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card

I was sitting at my worktable looking at the August 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit thinking that I've only made two cards from it.  Well, if you think about it, I have only used supplies for 1-1/2 cards.  UGH, I'll never get through the box at this rate!  I would REALLY like to use up all the cards in one kit before the next one arrives.  That's my goal anyway.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. Then I took a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Pacific Point card stock and I took my 1-3/8" circle punch and I slipped the corners inside the punch and punched them so I had rounded corners. I don't have the latest corner rounder. I have several retied ones and I decided I'm not going to buy any more corner punches. I'll just use circle punches. I taped the Pacific Point piece to the card base.

I cut  a 2-3/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White and rounded the top right and bottom left corners. 

I cut one of the cards from the August 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit at 2-1/2" x 3-3/4". I also rounded the top right and bottom left corners. I taped this piece to the Whisper White piece, making sure I had the rounded corners on the same side. 

A 2" x 3" piece of Whisper White was cut for the small layer on the left of the card. I took a piece of the Pacific Point ribbon that was in the kit and I taped the ends to the back of this piece. Then I glued this piece to the last two layers I had made. Make sure you don't glue on the left side or you will have issues you don't want to deal with right now.  And no, I did not do that. I didn't get my corners matched!!  LOL  

The kit has some fun vellum leaves/branches, so I took one of those and stuck it to the ribbon using a glue dot.

The round ribbon image was stamped using Pacific Point ink. I fussy cut it out. Then I die cut a small stitched circle from some Pacific Point. I had some scrap but if you don't have any, you can die cut it from the layer before you tape it to the card base.

I stamped the words from the kit using Pacific Point ink and taped them to the circle. Then I set the circle layers in place using Dimensionals. 

Dimensionals were added to the back of the round ribbon piece and it was set in place on top of the vellum branch. 

Then that whole piece was taped to the Pacific Point piece.  And the card was done.

It was a fun way to use the kit pieces to make an alternative card. And I do like how it turned out. This is a fun layout to play with too.

Ghoulish Goodies, Magic in This Night, Halloween Card, 2020 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

Today I thought I would play with the new Halloween sets I bought. I wasn't sure where I was going with this card and I wasn't too thrilled with it when I got there! LOL  It's kind of blah. 

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

On top of the card base is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.

A 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Magic in This Night" 12" x 12" pack. On the reverse side of that piece is the black and white striped images. I cut that piece 2" x 4-3/4". I punched one end using the "Triple Banner Punch".  That piece was taped on top of the other DSP.

I die cut a label from the "Stitched So Sweetly" dies using Cajun Craze card stock. I sponged the edges with Basic Black to tone it down it bit. It practically jumped off the card. 

The cat is from the "Ghoulish Goodies" set. I stamped it using black Memento ink. Then I die cut it using the second largest "Stitched Oval" dies.  The collar on the cat was colored in using the light Cajun Craze Blends pen and the eyes were colored in using the light Granny Apple Green Blends pen.  The circle also seemed a bit bright so I sponged Basic Black ink around the edges too. Then I set the cat in place on top of the label piece using Dimensionals. 

The label piece was set in place on the front of the card using Dimenisonals.

The words are from the "Ghoulish Goodies" set. They were stamped using black Memento ink on Whisper White card stock.  I die cut them using the second smallest stitched oval die. I also sponged the edges because it was too bright.  The words were set in place using Dimensionals.  a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White was added to the inside of the card and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make but not very colorful. I tried to find some cute Halloween stamps, ones that weren't too scary for the granddaughters.  I think they will have fun with this kitty!

Framed For You, Thinking of You Card, 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Catalog

My card today was a very fun one to make, even with the fussy cutting!  It's a quick and simple one too.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Poppy Parade. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left. 

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Bumblebee card stock was taped on to the front of the card.  

The Whisper White piece was cut 3-3/4" x 5" and the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Flowers for Every Season" was cut at 3-1/2" x 4-3/4".  Then the DSP was cut at an angle. The right side measures 1-5/8" and the left side measures 3-1/2" 

I took another piece of DSP from the "Flowers for Every Season" DSP pack and I cut it at 2" x 3".  I punched one end using the "Triple Banner" punch. I taped the punched piece to the back of the larger DSP piece. 

The ribbon I used is retired but I thought I would just use what I had. You can also cut a strip of card stock here too.  I just thought the ribbon would look nice and I got to use some ribbon I've been hanging onto for a while.  Is it hanging onto or hoarding???  Let's say hanging onto because hoarding is a tough thing to admit! LOL  I taped the ribbon ends on the back of the DSP.

I set the DSP on top of the Whisper White piece so I could see where the words needed to go.  Since the card was SO cheery looking I opted to use Poppy Parade ink instead of my usual black Memento.  It kept the card looking bright and cheery. The words are from the "Framed for You" set. 

After stamping the words I taped the DSP to the piece and then I taped that piece to the front of the card on top of the Bumblebee card stock.

The flower from the "Framed for You" set was stamped using Daffodil Delight ink and then fussy cut out.  That was the only part of the card I wasn't having a lot of fun doing. It's such a small flower but I managed to do it without whining!  

I used the second smallest circle punch and punched out a Whisper White piece.  I also took the scalloped circle that best fit the circle I just cut out and die cut it using Poppy Parade card stock. 

The "Framed for You" set also has some cute leaves, so I stamped them on the Whisper White circle using Mint Macaron ink. I stamped several leaves.

Then the circled were taped together, the fussy cut flower was set on top using a Dimensional. 

The circle was set in place using Dimensionals.  A pearl was added to the center of the flower.  A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock was added to the inside of the card and that was it.

I really like the looks of this card. It should brighten up someone's day.

Sending You Thoughts, August 2020 Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card, Thank You Card

I found this card on Pinterest and was SO excited to make it. It was a perfect way to use the images from the August Paper Pumpkin kit. A great alternative card. You can see the original card here but there is no link to who made it or where it came from other than Pinterest. 

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.

The card from the kit was cut at 4" x 5-1/4" and then cut at an angle, but not tip to tip, there was about a 1/2" on the top before the cut started.  Now that I look at this, I should have just followed that yellow line to the bottom instead of to the corner. I didn't look at the original card hard enough.  Now you know so you can make that cut a straight line.  But it is still a cool looking card so I'm leaving it the way it is.

The round ribbon image was stamped on the Whisper White piece using the Pacific Point ink that came with the kit. And I stamped one on a separate piece of card stock for the top image.

The words are from the "Sending you Thoughts" set. They were also stamped on Whisper White card stock using Pacific Point ink. They were trimmed to 1" x 3/8".

The words and the ribbon piece were die cut using the "Layering Circles" dies. I used the smallest for the words, the ribbon was die cut with the 5th smallest, and the Pacific Point piece was die cut using the 6th smallest die.  I taped the ribbon circle to the Pacific Point circle. The word circle was added using Dimensionals.

I cut the Pacific Point ribbon from the kit to 4" long and I clipped both ends. 

A 3-1/4" x 3/4" piece of gold foil card stock was cut and the ends clipped. 

The ribbon was taped to the front of the card and then the gold strip was taped to the top of that. The circle was then set in place on top of the ribbon piece. The "thanks" was taped on top of the stamped round ribbon piece. 

Two gold stars from the kit were glued in place and the card was done.

My card is opposite of the original because I wasn't paying attention (again) to the way I was cutting it. But it still worked out and I like how it looks.

This was a fun card to make and I'm happy the way it turned out.

Ornate Style, Ornate Layers, Itty Bitty Greetings, Thinking of You Card

My plan for today's card turned out to be different than what was in my head. But I'm okay with the way it turned out.

I had taken a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock and I sponged on my colors. But first I had made a stencil using on of the "Ornate Borders" dies.  I also ended up digging out my light box so I could see my card stock under it.  Perhaps if I would have cut the "stencil" using a window sheet or even vellum I would have been able to see the card stock better. But it worked out so I was good with it. I used a post it note to hold my stencil to my card stock and I sponged the flowers using Daffodil Delight ink. I sponged the leaves using Granny Apple Green ink. I moved my stencil down and over 4 times so I could fill my piece of card stock.  I ended up cutting off a lot of it.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Daffodil Delight card stock. 

The Whisper White layer was cut 3-1/2" x 4-5/8".

I cut a piece of Granny Apple Green at 3" x  4-1/8".

And my stenciled piece was cut at 2-7/8" x 4".

I added a tiny bit of tape to the upper center area of the Granny Apple Green piece. I lined up the stenciled piece and pressed down where the little bit of tape was. I took a 1-1/4" circle punch and put the card stock all the way in and lined up the sides and then punched out the circle. Then I took the stenciled piece and used a 1-3/8" circle punch and punched out an even ring. I taped the two pieces together. Now you will want to add your ribbon now before you begin adding Dimensionals or tape to the back. My ribbon is some retired stuff that I had but I was more concerned about having the right color than it being current. I cut the ribbon about 4" long and taped the ends behind the Granny Apple Green piece. I slipped the end of the ribbon (still on the spool) under the taped ribbon and tied a knot. Then I cut the ribbon. It's easier this way plus it saves on ribbon. 

I stamped the image from the "Ornate Style" set using black Memento ink on Whisper White card stock. My piece was about a 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" scrap. You just need it big enough to go past the opening of the punched hole. I colored the flower using both light and dark Daffodil Delight Blends pens. And both light and dark Granny Apple Green were used for the leaves. This image was set in place by adding Dimenisonals around the circle and then hovering over it and then pressing the piece to the Dimensionals.  

Dimensionals were added to the back of the piece, except the scrap piece of Whisper White, snail tape was added there. This was then set in place on the 3-1/2" x 4-5/8" piece of Whisper White piece. And then that piece was taped to the front of the card base.

The words are from the "Itty Bitty Greetings" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. I punched them out using the "Classic Label" punch. I did use a post it note to hold the punched piece so I could put it back in the punch and make the piece shorter yet still have the ends look nice. The word piece was set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

I'm okay with the way it turned out. This is one of my most favorite layouts. I can utilize those smaller images in a way that they become the focal point of the card.  Cute, huh?

August 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit, Children's Card

I thought I should play with the August 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit before the next one rolls in.  It seems like these things come so quickly. I haven't finished the last months one. I haven't finished the last few months worth. I need to get busy and get them done and get the boxes out of my workroom. They are starting to stack up. Some of the kits I find not as fun as other kits. It's kind of hit or miss but I can always find something on Pinterest that is made using the kit. I have even come with stuff on my own too!  I know, hard to believe!  LOL  Today's card is right from the kit. There's also a shaker card in the kit, you can make three of them and the other card is a ribbon image with a foil circle with words in the middle. It's my least favorite. I may end up coming up with something different for that one.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. Not in the kit. I cut the green plaid card in half. It was printed on both sides and I figured if I cut it to 4" x 5-1/4" I could make two cards from the one. So I will be coming up with something on my own because I will have lots of half cards left!!!

The rectangle piece was added, it's a die cut from the kit. It was set in place using Dimensionals.

I cut the ribbon from the kit to fit across the rectangle piece. 

I taped the vellum leaves in place. I taped them where they wouldn't show because tape shows through vellum. 

I punched out the trophy and stamped the words on it using the Pacific Point ink that came in the kit. 

There's labels in the kit and I took the smallest one and stamped the word "kid" on it and set it in place using Dimensionals. 

Dimensionals were added to the trophy and set in place on top of the ribbon and vellum pieces. 

Star sequins came with the kit and I glued them in place. There's glue dots in the kit but I prefer to use glue. And that was it. The card was done.  I'm not so thrilled with it but it's not that bad either. I want to look for the word "father" and make up the other two for Father's Day. There's also "friend", "teacher", and "coach" stamps too. There's a "You're the Best" stamp too that would be great with the ribbon looking card.  I will be playing with those this weekend so I can use up the stuff in the kit and have an empty box.  First time in many months!!!

Healing Hugs, Stitches Shapes, Get Well Card, 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I was thinking about making a super quick card because my time was limited today and this is what I came up with.  This card is GREAT for using up some of that Designer Series Paper (DSP) you've been hoarding.  I HAVE stacks of it! 

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  

I used the DSP from the "Flowers for Every Season" 6" x 6" stack.  I cut my 6" x 6" piece at 5" x 3". This way I was able to make two cards.  I had used a full sheet of Whisper White so when I cut it in half I had two pieces to make two cards.  Why not, half the work is already done. 

The words are from the "Healing Hugs" set. I stamped them using Poppy Parade ink on Whisper White card stock.  I did stamp two.  Then I die cut them using the circle second smallest "Stitched Shapes" dies.

Next a 5-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Poppy Parade card stock was cut.  Again, I cut two.  Before I taped the DSP to the piece. I die cut them with the third smallest scalloped circle die from the "Layering Circles" dies.  I taped the words to the scalloped circle. 

The DSP was taped to the Poppy Parade piece and then that was taped to the front of the card.

After the circled were taped together I added Dimenisonals on the back and I set them in place on the front of the card.  And the card was done.  Super quick and easy.  I am eyeing some DSP on my worktable that I may just cut in to the pieces and have them ready to stamp and assemble when I have some down time.  Down time usually involves me being on the phone on hold. I like to have something to do while I'm on hold.

Beautiful World, Masculine Card, Friendship Card, 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I was thinking about making a masculine card today.  My masculine stash is pretty low.  I found this card on Pinterest and I thought it would be a fun one to make. You can see the original card here. 

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Night of Navy card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "World of Good" 12" x 12" pack was taped to the front of the card. 

A 2-3/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Whisper White was cut for the layer. And a 2-1/4" x 3-3/4" piece of Night of Navy was cut for the top layer.  I didn't buy and of the new corner embellishments but I did have a corner punch, so I punched out two corners for the Night of Navy piece.  My corners are a bit bigger and don't look all that great on there. I should have just trimmed them smaller but I thought I'd just take a chance and see what happens.  They are okay but not great. 

I die cut the globe stand using gold foil card stock. I just used what I had.  

The globe was stamped using black Memento ink and then I colored it in using the light Balmy Blue Blends pen.

The words are from the "Beautiful World" set.  They were stamped using Night of Navy ink.  Then die cut using the second smallest stitched circle die.  

Glue the top part of the globe stand to the globe and then glue the globe in place on top of the Night of Navy piece.  Then the piece was set on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

The words were added with tape and Dimensionals.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White was added to the inside and the card was done.

I do like how this card turned out.  A perfect masculine card.

Peaceful Moments, Basket of Blooms, Thank You Card, 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Catalog

Today I wanted to make a bright and cheery thank you card. I LOVE the Pacific Point blue color. It's a very nice bright blue, so I went with it. I did struggle a little to find colors that would go with it and yet keep it cheery. And this is what I came up with.

The base of my card is a half-sheet of Pacific Point card stock.  The card stock was cut at 4-1/4" on the short side.  Then it was scored at 5-1/2". This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.  I was originally going to make it so the card opened on the bottom but I didn't have any thank you words that would fit with the pieces I had die cut.

I took a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Granny Apple Green and taped it to the front of the card.

A 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White was textured using the "Ornate Floral" embossing folder. That piece was then taped to the front of the Granny Apple Green piece.  I didn't punch out my leaves from that Granny Apple Green layer piece, I had some scrap so I used that instead. I punched out three pieces using the "Sprig" punch. 

I die cut a Pacific Point, Gray Granite, and Whisper White piece using the 4th largest "Stitched Nested Labels" die.  

The words are from the "Peaceful Moments" set. They were stamped using Pacific Point ink.

The three label pieces were taped together leaving about 1/4" of the color of the piece showing. Then they were set in place on the card using Dimensionals.

The flowers are from the "Basket of Blooms" stamp set. They were stamped six time using the "Small Bloom" punch. I used a blender pen and some Pacific Point ink to color in the flowers.  I started out with the pen in the center of the flower so it wouldn't be too dark on the petals. I went outward from the flower center.

The sprigs were cut apart and placed on the left side of the die cut label pieces. I ran a line of liquid glue along the edge of the label piece and I placed the sprig pieces on it.  The flowers were then glued in place.  A pearl was added to the center of each flower and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. It's also bright and cheery too!

Peaceful Moments, Stitched So Sweetly, Birthday Card, Arrow Fold Technique, 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I had a lot of fun making the Arrow Fold card yesterday that I thought I'd give it one more try before I move on to something else. The more you do this the easier it gets.  

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. It's folded in half on the long side. This card opens on the bottom and the fold is at the top.

With a pencil, I lightly marked the bottom edge of the front of the card at the halfway mark at 2-3/4". And then I marked the sides at the halfway mark at 2-1/8".  Score the piece from the top fold to the center of the bottom of the front. Then for the next score you keep the bottom center on the scoring line and score to the 2-1/8" mark.  Repeat for the other side.

With the card closed and facing you. Fold the long score lines inward on both sides and fold the shorter score lined outward.  Look here at the photo of the card I posted yesterday to see the inside of the card.  You will need to use your bone folder to make those score lines nice and crisp. And you will also need to glue them down because they won't stay down.  Be sure not to add glue where it's not needed.  Just open and close the folds to see where the glue should go.

My DSP is from the "Flowers for Every Season" 6" x 6" paper stack. I cut it 4" x 5-1/4".  This piece will need to be marked at the bottom half way at 2-5/8". Now you will need to cut from the 2-5/8" to the top corner.  Repeat for the other side.  Try to keep the pieces together. It's easy to get them mixed up. I taped the two smaller pieces to the inside of the card so they were out of the way.  Then I taped the larger piece on the front of the card.

I die cut the Misty Moonlight label piece from the "Stitched So Sweetly" die set.  

The words are from the "Peaceful Moments" set and were stamped on Whisper White card stock using Misty Moonlight ink. Then they were die cut using the second smallest die and I used the second smallest scalloped die on some Bumblebee card stock.  I also punched out a 3/8" circle for the center of the flower (to be made next). I taped all the layers together and set the piece in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.  Be careful where you set the Dimensionals, you want to keep them on the pointed panel, not the side white ones.

I punched out two daises using the "Medium Daisy" punch. I glued them together and then added the Bumblebee circle to the center.  I set it in place on the front of the card using a single Dimensional and the card was done. I didn't stamp any words inside this one, I left it blank.

This is a very fun technique. And I like how this card turned out.

Snowman Season, Christmas Card, Winter Card, Arrow Fold Technique

I have never done a "Ribbon Fold" card before.  I though it looked pretty cool and was hoped it would be easy. It is. There's lots of videos on YouTube on how to make this card. Many of them are from Europe and the cards are bigger.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  This card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.

On the top part of the card you need to make a light mark in the middle on the edge. I made a small pencil dot at 2-3/4".  Then I scored each side half way too, at 2-1/8".  Now you need to score the piece.  You will line up the fold of the card (on the edge) to the center pencil mark on the 5-1/2" side.  Score it. Then move the card stock so the point is at the score line and the side pencil mark is also on the score line. Score it. Repeat this for the other side.

For the folding part, with the front of the card facing you, fold the long scored lines inward. Then fold the smaller one outward. Look at the second photo, you will be able to see this better.  Once they are folded, use a bone folder to make nice sharp folds.  These folds won't stay down so you are going to have to glue them.  Be careful to only glue the parts that are to be touching each other. 

Next I took a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the new "Snowflake Splendor" 12' x 12" pack.  You will be cutting this piece.  Mark the bottom center at 2-1/8".  Line the corner and that pencil mark on your paper cutter and cut.  Repeat for the other side.  Keep the pieces together or it will be like a puzzle trying to match them.  

Take the two triangles and tape or glue them to the inside of the card.  See the second photo for placement. 

You can stamp your words on the inside if you's like. Or you can leave it blank and use the words on the front.  

Tape the larger triangle. It's not going to line up perfectly but if you get it close enough no one is going to notice.  

For my card I used the "Snowman Season" set. I was glad it wasn't retired. I like that it has a matching snowman punch to go with it.  I stamped the snowman on Whisper White card stock.  I used my light Pool Party Blends Pen to color the background. I used the dark Pumpkin Pie for the nose, light Petal Pink for the cheeks, and light Smoky Slate for the ground and bottom of the feet. 

I took my Wink of Stella brush and colored in the snowman and snowballs.  Then the image was die cut using the 2-3/8" circle die. And a scalloped circle was cut from Pool Party card stock for the back layer. I taped those two pieces together and set them in place on top of the arrow part. Make sure your Dimensionals don't hang over or they will get on the white part of the arrow and the circle won't lay flat. 

For a final touch I added some "Snowflake" sequins. I was SO glad to see that those were brought back from last year. I had bought 2 containers of them and didn't use as much as I thought I would. To help with the static, I had put a tiny 1/2" x 1/2" square of a dryer sheet in the container.  I placed the little snowflakes around the front of the card using some Tombow multi glue.  And that was it.

Isn't this a fun and cute card?  I like this layout and I'm going to have to try it again.

UGH, I tried to get both photos in there with the words on the side and it didn't work. I don't know what I did wrong but apparently I need practice when adding two photos.

Peaceful Moments, Flowers for Every Season, Thank You Card, 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I did order a variety package of the 2020-2022 in colors of card stock.  I will probably use black ink or an ink that is close to the color of the in colors but I won't be buying the ink pads.  I just don't use them enough to merit purchasing them.  I only bought the variety package of paper because I had purchased the "Flowers for Every Season" DSP 6" x 6"stack.  I liked the looks of all the flowers in it but didn't pay attention to the colors used. SO after making some cards by trying to match some card stock, I decided to buy the variety pack in my next order.  Now I can use the papers with ease.  I did have the Misty Moonlight ink because it came in my Paper Pumpkin kit.  I have almost all of the colors of ink spots now. There's a few that I'm pretty sure won't be in kits, like Daffodil Delight for one, so I just bought a package of the empty ones and inked them up, so I have all the colors in ink spots now. I like using them for smaller images and words.  Okay, onto my card for today.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  This card opens at the bottom and the fold is at the top.  

The Misty Moonlight piece was cut 4" x 5-1/4" and before I taped it on the front of the card, I punched out a 3/8" circle for the flower center. 

The DSP is from the "Flowers for Every Season" set. It was cut at 3-3/4" x 5" and taped on top of the Misty Moonlight piece.

The rectangles were cut using the "Rectangle Stitched Framelits" dies. I used two at the same time. I used the thinner more narrow dies, the largest and second largest of those thinner ones.  I cut them both out at the same time. I did use a post it note to hold them in place so they wouldn't shift while I was running it through the Big Shot. 

I also cut a second one using only the larger thin die. It needed to go on the back of the frame where the words were to be stamped.

The words are from the "Peaceful Moments" set and were stamped using Misty Moonlight ink.  If you don't have that color, you could use Night of Navy in, it will fit in with the color scheme nicely.

I used pieces of the "Foam Adhesive Strips" to pop up the frame piece.

I taped the framed piece to the front of the card.

Then the flower was made by using the "Medium Daisy Punch". Two were punched out. I wanted to sponge the edges for some added color but the ink looked different than the color of the  flower images. I glued the two flower pieces together and then glued the Misty Moonlight circle piece in the middle. The flower was set in place using a Dimensional and the card was done.  Now it's ready to go out in tomorrow's mail.

This was a very fun card to make. I could have made it a shaker card but I think the August Paper Pumpkin kit is a shaker card.  There's lots of sequins in it, I'm just guessing.  If not, I can always make this layout again as a shaker.

Beautiful World, World Map, Here's a Card, Masculine Birthday Card, 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Catalog

Here's a card I found on Pinterest using the "Beautiful World" stamp set and matching "World Map" dies. It was such a great masculine set that I had to have it.  I have plans of mixing it sometime soon with the "Sailing Home" set.  You can see the original card here.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock.  This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left. 

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "World of Good" 12" x 12" paper pack.  I cut the DSP 4" x 5-1/4".  I taped it to the front of the card base.

I cut a 3-5/8" x 2-1/4" piece of Basic Back card stock. 

The words are from the "Here's a Card" set and were stamped on the bottom of the Basic Black strip using Versa Mark and gold embossing powder.

After the words were done I cut die cut the globe and globe stand from the "World Map" die cut set. I used gold foils card stock for these pieces. I should have used the double-sided sticky paper because I don't care for gluing thin strips of paper.  I took my Multi-purpose glue and spread some on a piece of plastic. I folded the plastic over and pressed the glue around to think it out. I set the globe on one side of the plastic and took a small piece of copier paper and pressed the globe into the glue.  I set the globe at the top part of the Basic Black strip.

Then I glued the globe stand the same way. I lined up the top part of the stand to one of the latitude lines on the globe.  I got a little bit of glue on the right side of the globe. That glue does not like to come off, even off your fingers.  I prefer tape or sticky sheets. I can make a really big mess with a little dot of glue! 

The Basic Black strip was taped to a 3-1/2" x 2-3/8" piece of Gold Foil.  And I set this piece in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White was added to the inside of the card.  Very Vanilla could be used here as well. 

This was a very fun and easy card to make. It's a great masculine birthday card.
