Snowman Season, Christmas Card, 2019 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

I am SO loving the "Snowman Season" stamp set.  I LOVE playing with each of the characters in the set.  And I also bought the Designer Series Paper (DSP) that compliments it.  And the hats on one of the sheets and a snowman on the other can be punched out using the matching punch.  How fun is that?  And quick and easy too!!!  I found this card here but there were no instructions or a link going anywhere.  So I went by what I thought was used here.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Coastal Banana card stock.  I stamped the snowflakes image from the "Snowman Season" set using Coastal Cabana ink. I only stamped around the edges since most of the card base will be covered.

I took a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of the "Let it Snow" DSP with the trees on it.  I taped that onto a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Shaded Spruce card stock.  I taped those two layers to the card base.

I stamped the snowman on some Whisper White card stock and I die cut it using the 4th largest "Stitched Rectangle" dies.  I was hoping that the image would have fit in a piece that I had from the card I made on Thursday but I needed a larger one.  

After die cutting, I stamped the words from the same "Snowman Season" set, using black Memento ink. 

I colored the snowman image using the Coastal Cabana marker and a Blender Pen. I am hoping that there will be a Coastal Cabana Blends pen someday! I colored the scarf and hat using the dark Flirty Flamingo Blends Pen. I colored the nose in using the light Pumpkin Pie Blends pen.  

I set the panel in place using Dimensionals.  I kind of wished I would have added a Shaded Spruce layer behind it.  I think it would have helped it stand out more.  After setting the image in place, I added some colored pearls to it. I colored the pearls with the dark Blends Pen.  And once they were in place, I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock and the card was done.

This was a very fun and easy card to make.

Feels Like Frost, Everything Festive, 2019 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

I wish I could afford to buy enough of this Designer Series Paper (DSP), from the "Feels Like Frost" 6" x 6" paper pack, to make my Christmas cards this year.  The paper is SO pretty and all you do is cut, stamp and tape.  Though that sounds like what you do on a lot of cards anyway.  But here the stamping is just words. 

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Seaside Spray card stock.   This card is folded on the left and opens on the right.  

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Night of Navy card stock and taped it to the Seaside Spray card base. 

Then I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of the "Feels Like Frost" DSP and I set it up in my Stamparatus so I could stamp the words evenly.

The words are from the "Everything Festive" set. I used Night of Navy in to stamp them.  I let the ink dry for a little while.  In the meantime I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock for the inside of the card.  By now the ink was dry so I taped the stamped DSP to the top of the Night of Navy piece.  And that was it.  The card was done.  See why I wish I could afford enough of the DSP to do all of my Christmas cards?

This was a super fun and easy card to make.

Snowman Season, Christmas Card, 2019 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

I found this card while surfing the net and thought it was SO darn cute that I just had to make one!  I found the original card here. 

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Crumb Cake card stock.  On top that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Real Red card stock.  

The focal piece is cut 3-3/4" x 5". I sponged on some Pool Party ink about 2/3 the way down.

I stamped the images and fussy cut the middle and last one.  The snowman on the right has a matching punch, so I punched out his pieces.  And looking at him, I forgot to add the Early Espresso arms.  Those are on the punch too.  How could I have forgotten his arms?  I will be adding them after I finish up my post.  The original card has arms!!  She was more caring about her beloved snowman!  LOL

After the fussy cutting and punching, I took my light Pool Party Blends Pen and colored some shadowing on the snowballs.  I colored the noses using the dark Pumpkin Pie Blends Pen.  The Scarf was colored in using the light Real Red Blends Pen and the berries in the hat were colored with that same pen.  The band in the hat was colored using the dark Daffodil Delight pen and so was the stripes in the scarf.  I added a little Petal Pink to the cheeks and I colored the hat in with Basic Black.  I think that covers all the colors.

I cut a 1" wide strip of the Dazzling Diamonds glitter paper and I set it on top of the sponged piece and lightly drew a pencil line so I knew where to stamp the snow people.  After stamping them I trimmed the Dazzling Diamonds Glitter paper.  On the right I cut it so more of the tree base would show and on the left I cut it so it looked like it was sloping a bit.  Then I taped it to the bottom of the Whisper White piece.

Once the glitter paper was taped down I stamped the words at the top from the same "Snowman Season" stamp set and black Memento ink.  Then I added Dimensionals to the backs of all of the pieces and set them in place on the card.  And the card was done!

I had fun making this card and I love how the Pool Party sponged background looks.  SO wintry! Not that I'm rushing winter, I'm not, it just looks pretty!!

Snowman Season, Christmas Card, 2019 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

I found this adorable card here.  I did change the colors and add more snowflakes but other than that it's a copy!! I just HAD to because it's just too darn cute.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Balmy Blue. 

On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock. This piece has a rectangle cut out using the Stitched Rectangle dies.  What I like about these dies is, they have stitching on both sides of the cutting line.  The piece that came out of the center has stitched lines around the inside of it.  I saved it for a future card.

Next I cut a 4" x 4" piece of Balmy Blue gingham print from the 6" x 6" "Subtles" paper pack.  The original card was done using Petal Pink but I liked the Balmy Blue better.  

Then I stamped the snowman from the "Snowman Season" set and fussy cut it out. UGH. You KNOW how much I hate fussy cutting.  But once again, I did survive it! Without even a single paper cut!!! LOL

I cut a small piece of the white glitter paper and taped it to the bottom of the rectangle opening.  I set the snowman in place and taped him on the back with a small piece of scotch tape.  

The words are from the same "Snowman Season" stamp set using black Memento ink.

I loaded the back up with Dimensionals and I set the card front on the card base. 

I added the snowflakes from the "Snowflake" sequins.  I couldn't believe how staticky these little things are.  After huffing on my fingers and not having much luck I decided to go to the laundry room and I cut a 1/4" x 1/4" piece of dryer sheet and placed it inside the container. I shook the container a few times and viola, no more static.  I set the snowflakes in place using the glue from the "Fine Tip" glue bottle and a toothpick.  I added snowflakes to the outside of the card, which is not what was on the original card.  I just thought the outside could use something. 

This was a fun card to make (once I got the sequins under control) and I can see myself making it again in maybe Highland Heather or even the pink.

Feels Like Frost, Christmas Layers, Itty Bitty Christmas, Christmas Card

If you don't have the new "Feels Like Frost" 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (DSP), I highly recommend you get it.  This paper is SO pretty and easy to work with.  Many of them you can just cut and add some words or embellishments and you are done.

Today I used the DSP to create this card.  The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Balmy Blue card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of the "Feels Like Frost" DSP.  I cut my image off for two reasons. One I mostly wanted a cold snowy looking image and two, I wanted to save the more detailed image for another future card.  An easy future card.  Maybe tomorrow???  Or sometime this week anyway.  I taped the DSP on top of the card base.

I die cut 7 snowflakes using the new "Christmas Layers" dies.  I set them on the card for placement so I knew where I could put the words.  

The words are from the "Itty Bitty Christmas" set.  I stamped them using black Memento ink.  I didn't set up my Stamparatus right and I squished the g and s at the end of greetings.  I should have taken the foam mat off because I was using a foam red rubber stamp.  But it is what it is, there's no going back after you stamp that.  Other than stamping on a separate piece of card stock and layering the words on top.

After stamping the words, I added the snowflakes using small Dimensionals.  I added a crystal rhinestone to the center of each snowflake and a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside and the card was done.

The backside of the DSP is white and silver images.  VERY fun to play with too but I love the realistic images better.  But when you cut 4" off a 6" piece you have 2" piece to play with and can use the other side.  

This was a very fun and quick card to make.  And pretty too!

Itty Bitty Wishes, Monster Bash, September 2019 Paper Pumpkin, Halloween Card

Today I played with the September 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit (again).  I promise I won't play with it again for a few days.

I do like my card. I have always loved this layout and have had a lot of fun making cards using it.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock.  This card is folded on the left and opens on the right.

On top of that is a 3-1/2" x 4-5/8" piece of Sahara Sand. 

I cut a 2-7/8" x 4" piece of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the" Monster Bash" 12" x 12" package.  And I cut a 3" x 4-1/8" piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock for the layer behind it.   I added a small amount of tape in the upper center of the two pieces.  I lined up the edges. I took a 1-1/4" circle punch and I dropped the piece as far as I could go into the punch and I lined up the sides equally and I punched out both pieces at the same time.  Then I took the DSP piece and a piece of copier paper or you can use some scrap card stock and I punched the 1-3/8" circle.  You really need to have something behind the DSP or it will rip and not cut nice.  You will NOT be happy with the results if you don't have something behind the DSP circle.  Tape the DSP to the Pumpkin Pie piece.

Then I tied a ribbon around the two layers.  

I took a 2-1/2" x 1-2/1" piece of Whisper White and taped it on top of the Sahara Sand piece where the skeleton will be going. I set the skeleton on top of the Whisper White piece and I gently set the circle layers on top to see where the skeleton will go.  I taped the skeleton in place.

The words are from the "Itty Bitty Wishes".  I stamped them using black Memento ink.  I punched them with the Modern Label punch and I set them in place using Dimensionals.  

I set the Pumpkin Pie layered piece in place using Dimensionals. 

I punched out three bats from the "Every Season Punch Pack" using a scrap piece of Basic Black card stock.  I set the bats in place using a dot of glue. Or a glue dot will work too!

And for the final touch I colored three gold sequins using the Cajun Craze Blends Pen and set them in place on the card to give it a little bit of shine and sparkle.

I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White on the inside and the card was done.

Like I said, I REALLY like this layout and i think this card is adorable.

Alternative September 2019 Paper Pumpkin Card, Itty Bitty Wishes, Halloween Card

Today I was still trying to figure out how to make cards with my September 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit and this is what I came up with.  I'm not thrilled with it but it's okay.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Smoky Slate card stock that was textured using the new "Stylish Scroll" embossing folder.  I also took a sponge dauber and the Smoky Slate ink pad and sponged over the top.  Then I took the Basic Black ink pad and sponged sporadically over the top.  I taped the piece in place on the card base.

I textured a 1-1/8" x 5" piece of Pumpkin Pie using the "Stylish Scroll" embossing folder.  The Basic Black layer behind it measures  1-1/4" x 5-1/8".  I taped the layers together and centered them in place on the card front.

The words are from the "Itty Bitty Wishes" set. I stamped them on Whisper White card stock using black Memento ink.  I had tried to stamp them on the orange foiled edged pieces but I just couldn't get them straight so I did the next best thing and did a stamp, cut and tape.  That is the part of the card I personally don't like but it is what it is.  Those words were set in place using small Dimensionals on the areas that touch the Pumpkin Pie strip.

I punched a 1-7/8" circle from one of the polka dot boxes that came in the kit. I taped the round vellum circle from the kit to the center of it.  Then I affixed the skull spider web to the center of it all.  I set that piece in lace on the card front using small Dimensionals on the left and right side of the circle.  

I punched out three bats from Basic Black card stock from the new "Every Season Punch Pack".  They are so tiny and too darn cute!!!  I set them in place with the small black Dimensionals that came with the kit.

And I added two skeletons from the kit. I set them in place with Dimensionals.  I did add some snail to their feet where it touched a word piece. 

For the final piece, I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside of the card and it was done! 

It's okay but I have an idea for a better one for maybe tomorrow or the next day.

Boo to You, Children Kid Friendly Halloween Card from the 2019 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

I just can't seem to get enough of this fun "Boo to You" Halloween card.  I love this whole set, it's SO kid friendly.  I did purchase the colored googly eyes and I think this guy could use some.  I found this card on Pinterest but I didn't like the way it opened, so I just made it open like a regular card. 

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla.  This card is folded on the left and opens on the right.  

I cut a 2-1/2" x 5-1/8" piece of the "Monster Bash" Designer Series Paper (DSP).  And I cut a Basic Black layer at 2-3/8" x 5-1/4". I taped those two layers together and then I taped them to the left side of the card.

Then I cut a piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock at 1-1/8" x 5-1/8" and I textured it using the new "Stylish Scroll" embossing folder.  At the same time I embossed a 1-7/8" x 4-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla card stock.  I set that piece aside.  I cut a 1-1/4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock and taped the textured Pumpkin Pie strip to it.  And I taped that strip to the right side of the card.  

I punched out 6 little Basic Black bats from the "Every Season Punch Pack".  Aren't they cute?  I glued them in place on top of the Pumpkin Pie strip.

I cut a 2" x 4-3/8" piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock and a 2-1/8" x 4-1/2" piece of Basic Black card stock.  I taped those two pieces together and then I taped the embossed Very Vanilla piece to the top of that.  I set this panel in place on top of the card using Dimensionals.

I stamped the zombie from the "Boo to You" set using black Memento ink on Whisper White card stock. I used Whisper White card stock because I wanted his shirt to look white and not vanilla.  I colored him in using the following Blends Pens:  Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, Smoky Slate and Balmy Blue.  I used both light and dark except for the Balmy Blue, I just used the light one.  I fussy cut the zombie out and I set him in place on the panel using Dimensionals.

The words are from the "Boo to You" set and I stamped them on Very Vanilla card stock using black Memento ink.  I die cut them with a "Stitched Circle" die and I added a Basic Black scalloped circle for the layer. I set the words in place using Dimensionals.  

I did add the googly eyes and I kind of regret it, I think it looks better without them.  But I think I would color in the eyes using a light pink marker or Blends pen. But other than that, I really like how it turned out.  This set is so darn cute!!!

Snowman Season, Christmas Winter Card, 2019 Holiday Catalog

Today I will be going to Terri's Stamping Extravaganza in Plymouth, Minnesota.  She has one of these every time a new catalog comes out.  The Holiday Catalog is out and shes all set to show what's in it.  There's many demonstrators there showing a product from the catalog.  I'm excited to see all the new samples.  There is one set I know I want but I had already ordered and I'm hoping that I'm not too tempted by what I see there.  It's a fun time and there's drawings and contests.  Here is my card for the contest.  When I look at the card on the screen I noticed that I need to add some snowflakes over the words to even out that corner.  It was bugging me so much that I actually stopped typing to add them.  Totally obsessed!!! LOL

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.  

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Coastal Cabana card stock.  Before that piece is taped on the large scalloped oval can be die cut from it.  I taped the card stock to the card base.

I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Let it Snow" 12" x 12" pack.  This is a fun pack of paper and I can't wait to play with it again.  

Next I cut the top corner pieces.  You can find the instructions for cutting them here.  Or you can just wing it. As long as you have the top and the left side flush you can cut the other two sides they way you want.  I ended up trimming mine a bit only because I got the pieces mixed up (again).  You really can't mess it up if you write on the backside the word "top".  After getting it mixed up twice, I finally wrote "top" on the back and I was able to keep it straight!!  Simple things that help. LOL  After making the corner pieces, I taped them together and taped them to on top of the DSP.  I lined up the top and the left and set it in place.  I did NOT stamp on it before I put the piece down.  I needed to see how much room the oval was going to take up.  I could have set my pre-cut oval on the piece and then stamped, either way works.  

On the backside of the DSP is the dotted DSP.  TOO cute.  I LOVE both and it's going to be a tough choice when it comes to using it.  I die cut the largest stitched oval using the dotted DSP.  I taped the ovals together.  Then I set the ovals on top of the DSP and was ready to stamp on the corner piece. 

I stamped the words from the "Snowman Season" set using black Memento ink.  I stamped the snowflakes using Coastal Cabana ink, stamping off just once per set.  

I stamped the snowman and I punched him out using the matching punch.  It punches out the body, hat, arms and a nose.  I colored the hat using the Early Espresso marker, Daffodil Delight, Real Red and Garden Green markers.  I added a little blush by using the light Petal Pink Blends pen.  I used my blender pen and the Coastal Cabana marker and added some shadowing on the snowballs. The buttons and nose are from the "Let it Snow" embellishment kit.  There's some fun hats, mittens and scarves in that kit.  Plus some snowballs, white glitter washi tape, noses, arms and the black buttons.  It's a fun kit and I can't wait to put some mittens on the snowmen!!  Stay tuned for that one!!!

I punched out the arms using Early Espresso card stock.  I also punched out another snowman body and hat.  I taped the arms to the back of the snowman I colored.  Then I taped the other body over it to hold the arms in place better, plus it makes a very firm snowman.  I did the same with the hat.  Then I set the snowman in place on top of the oval using Dimensionals.  

I set the oval in place on the front of the card and the card was done.  I think it's SO stinkin' CUTE. I love this set and I will never part with it.  Well, not unless an even cuter one comes out.  I LOVE the "Let it Snow" font.  There 's a really pretty "Merry Christmas" font too.  And two other snowmen in the set to play with.  I am such a lover of snowmen, so I will be making some fun cards with this set too.

Everything Festive, Halloween Card, September 2019 Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card

I got my Paper Pumpkin in the mail yesterday and I had too many things going on to sit down and play with it.  But today I had some free time and I sat down and looked through the box.  I was not sure what I was going to do with it since I did not have any use for the treat boxes.  So as I took the images off the die cut sheets, I was trying to think of what I was going to make and this is what I came up with today.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Pumpkin Pie card stock.  This fold is on the left and the card opens on the right.

I took a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White and one of the skull spider web dies and placed it on top and sponged black Memento ink on it, using it like a stencil.  By the time I was done I had a solid black skull web that I will probably use on another card sometime soon. After I was done with the sponging, I taped the piece to the card base.

I took one of the black tags and taped it to a stitched rectangle piece that I cut from one of the polka dot boxes.  I cut two, one for each corner of the card.  I taped the tag to the polka dot piece and then I taped them to the two corners of the card. 

The words are from the "Everything Festive" set. I first stamped them using the Gorgeous Grape ink that came with the kit but I ended up stamping over it using black Memento ink.  It's got a little purply look to it.  I die cut the words using the stitched oval die.  And I die cut a scalloped oval using a piece of the polka dot treat box.  I taped the two pieces together.  

I took the hand dies and I cut a line between the thumb and first finger.  Doing this allowed the thumb to slip behind the oval better.  I wanted it to look like the hand are holding the oval. I taped the hands in place and I made sure when I was adding the Dimensionals that I had them touching the thumb and part of the hand to help hold those in place.  I set the oval in place on top of the card.  I added the skeletons using the black Dimensionals that came with the kit.  And for a final touch, I added some sequins. I didn't have any orange ones, so I took the gold ones that were left over from last month and I used the dark Cajun Craze Blends pen and colored them before I set them in place.  

I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White to the inside of the card and the card was done.  I am SO loving the background.  It didn't take all that long to do, plus it was looking so cool as I was doing it and that helped make it go faster too.  I may do another one, I think I need more than one black skull web.  I have an idea brewing!!!!

Beautiful Friendship, Varied Vases, Birthday or Wedding Card

Today's card was a challenge for me to make.  Not that it was a difficult card to make, it was more of a matter of me not paying attention to what I was doing and how easily and quickly things can go wrong.  I found this card on the internet. You can see the original card here.  What caught my eye on this card was the center focal piece, the die cut.  I bought the "Tasteful Textures" dies and only liked the flowery one.  That was the reason I bought the dies.  But I wanted to use the other dies but my creative side has been on hiatus lately.  And when I saw this card I was thrilled.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  On top of that is the second largest "Rectangle Stitched" die.  The words are from the "Varied Vases" set and were die cut using another "Rectangle Stitched" die.  You will want to do the words before you use the "Tasteful Textures" die so you know where to place the die for cutting.  

After cutting the die, I cut a 3" x 3" piece of Melon Mambo from the Brights Collection of Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I was originally going to use Flirty Flamingo but I grabbed the wrong DSP and that's where the problems started.  

I had stamped the flowers using Flirty Flamingo but had to redo them using Melon Mambo.  And that wasn't the worst of it.  I had stamped the leaves using Mint Macaron.  But when I went to put the card together (after fussy cutting everything out), I noticed that the DSP was darker than the flowers.  SO after doing a little investigating I had realized that I used the wrong color for the DSP. And it was too late to change it because it was already set in place on top of the card base.  I had set the DSP in place using Dimensionals and added snail tape to the back of the DSP and more Dimenisonals around the rectangle.  So there was no changing anything there.  That's when I had to restamp the flower images.

After stamping the flowers again, I colored the stems using Pear Pizzazz ink instead of Mint Macaron.  And I didn't notice it until I set the other leaves in place.  SO I had to get the stamp set out again and stamp the leaves in Pear Pizzazz and fussy cut them out (again!).  Once I got all the colors right the assembly was a breeze.

I set the words on first.  Oh, on the right side of the words, the end was ribbon cut.  

Then I added the leaves.  Next the double flowers were set in place with snail tape and the larger rose was set in place using Dimensionals.   

This card just fitted in well with the day I had. I had lightly burned my fingers picking up the cookie sheet off the top of my stove. It was the end that was covering the oven vent.  So I grabbed pot holders and put the cookie sheet in the oven. It contained three very heavy buttercup squash.  I opened the oven and burned the underside of my forearm on the inside of the oven door.  I had read that putting mustard on it stops the burning.  So I set the timer and opened the fridge to get the mustard.  I put it on my arm and I smelled like a State Fair corn dog.  So then I had to be careful not touch my clothing or anything else.  I did get some on the counter and had to reapply it.  Once it dried I washed it off with cold water.  And yes, it did stop the burning.  I do have a red mark but it doesn't hurt and there's no blistering.  I don't think I burned it bad enough to blister.  I have not burned myself in years and then to do it twice within a couple of minutes.  So problems with this card just fit in with all the other things that went wrong today.  Tomorrow is a new day and a new card, right?

Boo to You, Kid Friendly Halloween Card, 2019

Still loving the "Boo to You" stamp set, I made another monster image card.  I LOVE this guy and he's so easy to color, he takes hardly any time at all.  

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Gorgeous Grape card stock.  The fold is on the left and it opens on the right.

On top of that I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock that I stamped the "Buffalo Plaid" image to using Gorgeous Grape ink.  I trimmed the piece to 4" x 5-1/4" after I stamped it because I knew I wasn't going to get it perfectly straight.  So off to the paper cutter I went and got my lines cut pretty close to perfect.  If I was not real thrilled with it, I could have taken the Gorgeous Grape marker and ran it along the edges of the piece and then the white parts wouldn't show as much.  But I was okay with the way it looked so I left it.

The top part was cut on the paper cutter.  You can read how to cut it here.  On that card the piece was more on the left and here it's more on the right.  It's on the right on this card because I taped the wrong side, but it's okay too because I like the look.  I did cut a Gorgeous Grape layer behind the Whisper White piece.

Next I stamped the monster from the "Boo to You" set using black Memento ink.  I colored him in using the Blends pens.  You can see what colors I used by clicking here.    I die cut him using the largest stitched circle die and then I die cut a Gorgeous Grape scalloped circle.  When I cut the scalloped circle I also cut the smaller scalloped circle from the center of this large scalloped circle.  I taped the circles together and set them in place using Dimenisonals.  

The words are from the "Boo to You" set and I stamped them using black Memento ink. I die cut them with a small circle die and taped it to the scalloped piece I had just cut.  I set the words in place using Dimenisonals. 

The bats are from the 2019 Holiday Catalog.  The stamps are "Every Season Punch Pack" set.  They are SO cute.  I set them in place using Dimensionals.  And that was it.  

It was a very fun card to make and he's SO darn cute too!

Boo to You, Stamping Tip

Today I'm going to share with you the cover of my "Boo to You" stamp set.  A week ago I had made some cards using each of these characters (and the words too!).  Yup, I used every stamp in the set.  I can't say that about most of my stamp sets!  

When I colored my cards I also colored the character. I used the colors that I liked the best and knew I would want to make more that color.  The colors are not as dark on the covers as they are on card stock.  The cover is shiny and the card stock was not.  So what I also did was I wrote down what colors I used on each character so I don't have to hunt the card down on my blog to see what was used.  I also did this with the "Back on Your Feet" set but I can't share that cover with you yet. I have not found a color I like for the sloth.  But once I do I will share my cover.  I did not write up what colors I used on that set, so when I get the sloth figured out I will have to go back and figure out my colors and write them down.  

I LOVE how the cover looks when it's colored in.  It makes me want to use it again!!  Stop back tomorrow to see if I did!! LOL

Daisy Lane, Here's a Card, Fall Birthday Card

Having the granddaughters over puts a damper on stamping time, but oh so worth it. And needless to say, I didn't have time to make a card yesterday. I do try to make one every day but some days I just can't.  But today I had some time, so this is what I came up with. I wanted to lean more towards the fall colors.  Even though it was 85 here in Minnesota today.  A bit too hot for the middle of September! And it's supposed to be in the 80's all week.  I will be staying indoors for most of the week.  I'm done melting for the year!  And now that the weather forecast is over, onto my card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. This card is folded at the top and opens at the bottom. I stamped the Buffalo Plaid image using Pumpkin Pie ink.  I set up the stamp in my Stamparatus so I could ink it as many times as needed to get the best looking image.  I cut the stamped piece at 1-3/4" x 5-1/2".  I cut a 2" x 5-1/2" piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock for the layer.  I taped the two pieces together and I taped the layers to the card base 3/4" from the top of the card. 

I stamped two daisies from the "Daisy Lane" set using Pumpkin Pie ink.  I punched them out using the large "Daisy" punch.  I glued the center of one of the flowers and pressed the other flower on top, lining up the petals so they were opposite the other petals.  I punched out two leave using Mossy Meadow card stock and the "Leaf" punch.  

I stamped the words from the "Here's a Card" set using black Memento ink.  

I set the flower on top of the Buffalo Plaid piece so I could see where I wanted to place the leaves. I taped the stem of the leaves in place.  Then I added Dimensionals to the back of the flower and I set it in place on top of the leaf stems.

And that was it.  A super quick and easy card to make. And a fallish looking one too!
