Peace on Earth, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Our son, wife and two granddaughters came to dine with us. And after we ate and things got cleaned up we put the Christmas tree up.  It's not a big tree. It's kind of ugly too. I had to buy pine garland to fill in the open areas. This year I crocheted over 500 popcorns and strung them with painted round berry colored wooden beads to make popcorn garland to help that poor little tree out! Anyway, let's get onto the card!

Today I have a Christmas card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. I spend SO much time on there looking at cards and crafts!  And as I'm looking a card will pop up that really catches my eye.  And when you have most of the materials to make they card, then why not? You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how I put this card together.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Peaceful Greens" embossing folder.

I bought the dies but not the stamp set for the "Peace on Earth" bundle. I had to cut corners somewhere. I tend to buy too many stamps! I cut two doves from Basic White card stock.

Using Basic Black card stock I cut the shape that fits in the embossed shape on the Basic White piece and the sprig in the doves mouth.

I taped the embossed piece to the front of the card using very strong tape. Then the Basic Black piece was adde using Dimensionals.

The doves were glued in place.

I didn't have the same words so I went on my computer and printed them out. I cut them using a die from the "Banner Sayings" bundle.  Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

A few crystal rhinestones were added to the front and the card was done.

This was a super easy and quick card to make. I do like how it turned out too. I also like having this die set because it will make lovely sympathy cards too.  I am so into versatility when it comes to sets and dies.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
