Beautiful Gallery, The Right Words, Sympathy Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. I still had my "Beautiful Gallery" Designer Series Paper (DSP) on my worktable. (like I put anything away right away! LOL). Please read on to see how this card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a piece of Basic White card stock that was just shy of 4" x 5-1/4" so I could tape the DSP and strip of Mossy Meadow card stock to it.

The DSP is from the "Beautiful Gallery" 6" x 6" stack. I cut the piece in half and then trimmed it to 5-1/4". I taped it to the Basic White piece I cut.  I actually made two cards at once since I had cut that piece in half. Why not?

Next I textured a piece of Mossy Meadow card stock using the "Damask Design" embossing folder. I cut the piece to measure 1" x 5-1/4".  I glued it to the Basic White cut piece. I butted up the edge of the card stock to the edge of the DPS.

I took a 6" piece of ribbon (retired) and taped the ends to the back. This is why I needed the Basic White piece cut for taping the DSP and strip to. I didn't want to take a long piece of ribbon and tie it all the way around the front of the card. Making this a layer I didn't use as much ribbon. Plus I find that tying the ribbon around the whole front of the card, it has a tendency to slip off. So you add glue dots and it buckles or bulges a bit. This way the ribbon stays nice and straight.  Tape was added to the back of the piece and it was set in place on the front of the card.

Once the piece was taped to the front of the card I slipped a 4" piece of ribbon under the taped ribbon and tied a not. I like making this kind of a knot because I can easily slid it where I want it.

The words are from "The Right Words" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. I cut them out using the "Labeled With Love" dies. There's a "Labeled With Love" punch but I didn't buy it, I bought the dies. There were 3 of them in the pack so I could cut the word piece and the Mossy Meadow layered piece at the same time. I took the Mossy Meadow piece and cut it in half. I taped the halves to the top and bottom of the word piece so it looked like it was a single layer. Fun way to make a layer the same shape as the word piece without having a die or punch that is a size larger. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. The more I look at it the more I think it should have been a get well card instead of a sympathy card.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's sympathy card,

Simply Said, Extraordinary Flora, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today's card has a few pieces to it but it did go together pretty fast. Please read on to see how I made it.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 3" x 4-1/4" piece of Basic White for the large layer. On top of that layer are three strips of Basic White card stock that was textured using the "Damask Design" embossing folder. After embossing it I cut the pieces at 4" x 1", 4" x 7/8" and 4" x 1/2". I glued them to the large layer and then that was taped to the front of the card.

Using the two smaller dies from the "Stylish Shapes" set, I cut them using Basic White card stock. I taped the little one to the larger one. I added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place on the front of the card about 1/2" from the top edge and 1/4" from the fold.

A flower from the "Extraordinary Flora" washi tape roll was set on the rectangles using Dimensionals. I had some parts leftover from cutting a section of them from a previous card. I have a little baggie full of parts!

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Gorgeous Grape ink. They were in the stamp set and I thought I'd use it. It blended in well enough with the color of the flowers. It set in place using Dimensionals.

This was a fun card to make and would make a great wedding, get well, thinking of you or thank you card too.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Beautiful Gallery, Thinking of you, Friendship, Sympathy Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I thought I would make a card using an image from the "Beautiful Gallery" 6" x 6" stack. Please read on to see how I made this card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Beige card stock. That's a color I have hardly used. This card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Pecan Pie card stock for the layer.  Using the third smallest circle from the "Stylish Shapes" set for the word layer. I cut it from the center of the Pecan Pie layer.

A 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic Beige was cut for the top large layer. I textured it using the "Corrugated" embossing folder and then I trimmed it to 3-7/8" x 5-1/8. I glued it to the Pecan Pie layer and then that was taped to the card base.

The picture is from a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Beautiful Gallery" 6" x 6" stack. I cut it to 2-7/8" x 3-1/2" and the Pecan Pie layer behind it was cut at 3" x 3-5/8".  I taped the DSP to the Pecan Pie layer and then I glued that to the front of the card.

I die cut the circles, one from the Pecan Pie card stock as stated above and one from a scrap piece of Basic Beige card stock. I used the next size smaller in the "Stylish Shapes" set. I didn't stamp any words on it because I don't know what I want to use this card for. I'm not really seeing what it's staying. Sympathy? Hello? Thinking of you? What do you see?

For a final touch I added some retired "Polish Dots" that I had on hand. I'm trying to use up all of the embellishments I have here before I can justify buying any new ones.

This was a very quick and simple card to make.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's card,

Layers of Beauty, Simply Said, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a pretty floral card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White for the top layer. I textured that layer using the "Damask Designs" embossing folder. I glues that to the front of the card and placed it under my stamping mat to help keep it flat. Though the Mono glue doesn't warp cards, it's just a habit I have of placing cards under it. Oh and then I forget I placed it under the mat and I'm searching for it. Getting old is tough!  LOL

The floral image is from the "Layers of Beauty" bundle and was stamped using black Memento ink. The wonderfully fun part of this bundle is the masks. You just lay the masks (that are numbered) over the stamped image and with your Blending Brush you scrub on the colors. Here I used Bubble Bath, Petunia Pop and Berry Burst. SO pretty! And flor the leaves I used Old Olive for both layers. Using the same color on top of the other color just made it darker and it was the perfect shade of dark for the leaves. I had stamped my image twice because I needed to cut out the large flower with leaves and the smallest flower was a maybe.

Once the coloring of the image was done I took the largest circle die in the "Stylish Shapes" set and cut it out. I wanted to access as much of the flowers as I could. The bottom flower didn't get in the circle much at all. I had fussy cut the large flower with some leaves and the smallest flower with some leaves. I set them aside.

An Old Olive circle was cut using the same die. I taped it to the back of the floral circle, leaving a little of it exposed. I glued the circles to the front of the card centering it as much as I could by eyeing it.

Next I added the two fussy cut flowers using Dimensionals. I moved the smallest one enough so some of the leaves went over the circle. I thought it gave it a nice look since the large flower was doing it.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. I cut them out with the banner die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. I also cut a Berry Burst one and taped the two together. I used the dotted lines on the Berry Burst piece to line up the word piece, just to give it a bit of a layer and color. The piece was then set in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.

This was such a fun card to make. I can not tell you how much I LOVE the stenciling. It makes it look like you are a master at coloring!

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Wildflower Birthday, Get Well Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a super easy and super quick card to share with you. Much like the "Storybook Moments" 12" x 12" package of Designer Series Paper (DSP) this "Wildflower Birthday" DSP has cut outs too!  I forgot about it when the paper came. I had set it with the other packages of DSP but I didn't pay much attention to this one. The first sheet you see is lots of tiny white daisies on a Peach Pie background. It's not one of my favorite colors and that's probably the reason I hadn't picked up the package. Well, today I was looking for a certain color and when I saw this package I thought I'd take a look inside. Oh my, what have I been waiting for?  The paper inside is amazing. Plus there's two sheets of cut outs!  I didn't know where to start, my head was filled with ideas. SO I thought I'd start with one of the larger pieces. I popped out the flowers and began working on the rest of the card. Please read on to see how I put this card together.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Bubble Bath card stock for the top layer. I textured it using the "Starstruck" embossing folder. I glued this piece to the card base.

Next I added Dimensionals to the bouquet piece and set it in place on the front of the card.

I was looking for a "happy birthday" to put on the front but none of the ones I have would fit in the circle die from the "Spotlight on Nature" bundle. It needed to be that size. I did find one in the "Labeled With Love" bundle but I couldn't get the "y" to fit completely in the circle. SO, I went to my computer and printed out my wording. I knew I needed a get well card before I needed the birthday card, so that is why you are seeing get well instead of happy birthday. I used the Lucinda Handwriting font at 16 pt. I bolded it and printed it on high quality. Then I cut it out using the die from the "Spotlight on Nature" bundle. I set it in place with a few Dimensionals and the card was done.

I think it took me longer to type this up and post it than it did to make today's card. It was a fun card to make and I love how quickly it went together.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's get well card,

Wildly Flowering, Get Well Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I want to share with you a card I found on Pinterest. You can see the original card here. I did try to find the post on the website and after a bit of searching I did find it but there were no instructions. Please read on to see how I made this card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Crumb Cake card stock and taped it to the front of the card.

A 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Basic White card stock was cut for the next layer. On top of that is the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Wildly Flowering" 12" x 12" package. I had a piece leftover in my package so I thought I'd trim it up for my card. Instead of cutting the piece I had used a scrap piece for the bottom part. On the original card it looks like the bottom part is around 1". Mine is a full piece and the scrap piece was taped to the front. I could have cut the piece but I decided to use the scrap piece and get it out of my package. But if I were to make another one, I would make that bottom part 1". I would cut the bottom of and flip it over if I didn't have any other scrap to get rid of. Okay, so once I got the DSP taped to the Basic White piece. I took a 5" piece of ribbon and taped the ends to the back of the Basic White piece. I tied a bow and using a glue dot I set it in place on top of the ribbon. I taped this piece to the front of the card (on top of the Crumb Cake piece)

For the word piece I used the die from the "Stylish Shapes" set and a piece of the matching DSP. The words are from my computer and were cut using a larger die from the same set. I taped the two together and then set them in place using Dimensionals.

I added five little pearls to the bottom area and the card was done.

I like this layout. It's a perfect way to use both sides of your DSP (if you like both sides, sometimes the backside isn't always the prettiest but most of the time it is). And there you have it, a quick and easy card to make.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's get well card,

Grassy Grove, Thoughtful Journey, Get Well Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a very fun card to share with you. I saw something like this on the net but I can't remember where. It was done using an oval die. I don't have an oval die so I used what I had. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 1/4 sheet of Boho Blue card stock and textured it using the "Forever Plaid" embossing folder. I cut it to 4" x 5-1/4" and glued it to the front of the card.

Next using a piece of Mossy Meadow card stock I cut the trees from the "Grassy Grove" bundle. Then I took a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Thoughtful Journey" 6" x 6" stack. I glued the tree piece to the DSP. It was a bit of a challenge to find just the right spot to set the trees in place. Too many pretty choices. Once it was glued I used the largest circle from the "Stylish Shapes" set and cut it out.

I had cut two deers, one was from Early Espresso card stock and the one I used is from Pecan Pie card stock. I glued the deer in place. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.

The words were done on my computer and were printed out on a piece of Basic White card stock. Actually I duplicated the words and printed a sheet of them. I'm in the need of a lot of get well cards. I cut the words out using the die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. The Fresh Freesia piece was cut using a die from that same set. I taped the two pieces together and set it in place on the front of the card. I added Dimensionals to the left side and tape to the right.

The dots on the card are from the retired "Candy Dots" package. I have SO many of these embellishments left and I need to use them up. I colored them using my dark Mossy Meadow Blends pen. It didn't color very well so I just dotted the pen tip on them. It gave them a textured look. Using what I have and trying to use things up.

This was a fun card to make and I do like how it turned out. It's different and that's what makes it fun.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's get well card,

Thoughtful Journey, Stylish Shaped, Get Well Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a get well card to share with you. I found it on the internet. You can see the original card here.  Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Lost Lagoon card stock for the layer. On top of that is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Thoughtful Journey" 6" x 6" stack. I taped that to the Lost Lagoon piece and then I taped it to the card base.

The flowers and stem were cut using the die from the "Thoughtful Wishes' bundle. I cut one from a piece of Mossy Meadow and one from Fresh Freesia card stock. I snipped the flowers off on the Fresh Freesia piece and glued them to the Mossy Meadow piece. I would recommend cutting them one or two at a time to keep them in order. I didn't do that so I had to play the matching game! I glued the pieces in place.

Then the stem was glued to the front of the card. I used little dots of glue on each flower and that was enough to hold them down.

The words were done on my computer because I couldn't find get well words that would work. I used the Arial Black font for the "get well" part. I typed it in all capital letters at 20 pt.  And the "soon" was done using the "Bahnschrift Light" italic font at 20 pt. Then I printed them out on a piece of Wild Wheat card stock.  I cut the words out using the die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. I also cut a Fresh Freesia piece from the same bundle. I taped the two pieces together.

I took a piece of linen thread and made some loops on the word piece. Dimensionals were added to the back that helped hold the thread down. I set the piece in place on the front of the card.

Some sequins were glued on to the front of the card and the card was done. I was just using what I had on hand.

This was a super fun and quick card to make. Well, it did take me a little while to get the words right but other than that it was really quick. I think it's pretty and it should cheer up the one receiving it.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's get well card,
Wanda

Unbounded Love, Flowering Zinnias, Get Well Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I made another card using yesterday's layout except it has one more layer. I love how cheery this card looks. The Real Red makes a big difference. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Real Red card stock. It opens on the right and the fold was on the left.

I cut two 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of Basic White card stock. One was glued the inside and the other was textured using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder and glued to the outside.

I cut my layers next. I used the images from the "Flowering Zinnias" Designer Series Paper (DSP) 12" x 12" package. I cut the top one at 2-1/2" x 2-1/2". The Real Red layer was cut at 2-5/8" x 2-5/8", the next piece of DSP from the same package was cut at 2-7/8" x 2-7/8" and the next Real Red piece was cut at 3" x 3".

I taped the top two layers together and the bottom two layers together. Dimensionals were added to the top two layers piece and it was set in place on top of the bottom two layers.

Next I stamped the words from the "Unbounded Love " bundle using Real Red ink. I used the die from the same bundle to cut the words out. And the Real Red layer behind it was cut out using a die from that same bundle. I taped the words to the Real Red piece. Dimensionals were added to the back. I set the piece and the layered squares on top of the card for placement. Once I got them were I thought they looked good I removed the backing from the Dimensionals and set them in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make. I like it a lot better than the one I did yesterday. I'm not sure if it's the extra layer that was raised up with Dimensionals or if it's the Real Red color. It was just fun to make.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's get well card,
Wanda

Layers of Beauty, Best Family Ever, Adventurous Sky, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. I'm glad you found your way here. I have a fun and easy card to share with you. This card can be used for a number of occasions. Today I chose birthday. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White for the top layer.

The strips are 1" wide each. One is 4" long and the other is 5-1/4" long. I scored them on my scoring board. I started in the middle at 1/2". I scored two more on each side of the center score. I did this for both pieces. I turned them over because the bumpy side is the one you want on top of your card. I used glue to set mine in place because I didn't want to squish down the bumps. The 4" one was glued down first, it's about 1-1/2" up from the top layer piece. And the 5-1/4" piece was glued on about 5/8" from the left edge of that top layer piece.

I cut 2 squares from the "Stylish Shapes" set. I used the two smallest on a scrap of Basic White card stock. I taped the small one on top of the larger one. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card about 1-1/4" from the 4" x 5-1/4" layer and 3/8" from the left edge. I didn't press down on the piece yet because the words need to go between the two squares.

The little flower was found on my worktable. It had been cut off a larger stenciled "Layers of Beauty" flower. I had saved it thinking someday I would use it and someday came! And I was able to find it! I added that because I can easily lose things on my worktable!  The flower was added with small Dimensionals and set in place on the little square.

I stamped the words from the "Best Family Ever" set using black Memento ink. I cut them out using the die from the "Adventurous Sky" bundle. I used a couple of small Dimensionals on the right side and a little bit of glue on the left. I slipped the piece between the two squares and pressed down on all the pieces to set them in place. And that was it, the card was done.

I didn't add any bling, I wanted to keep it clean looking.

This would be a great wedding, anniversary, thinking of you, thank you, friendship, Christmas or get well card. There's lots you can do with this. I like this layout. It's so simple, it's quick and super easy to do.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda

Sketched Butterflies, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock for the top layer.

Using the second smallest rectangle from the "Deckled Rectangle" dies set I cut the opening on the left side about 3/4" from the top edge and 1/2" from the left side.

A piece of scrap Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Thoughtful Journey" 6" x 6"package. The piece needs to be at least 2" x 3-1/2". I ran my tape around the back of the opening and I set the piece of DSP in place.

The words are from the "Sketched Butterflies" bundle and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink. After stamping the words I set the piece in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

I cut the butterfly off a group of three from the bundle. I figured I could get two good butterflies from the three by carefully cutting them from each other. I used Basic White card stock for the butterflies. I set the butterfly in place using a trimmed Dimensional and the card was done.

This was a perfect way to use scraps of DSP. I just love the way the card turned out. It's plain and simple but yet it's elegant. I am thinking I can make a few cards using this layout and more scraps in my stash. It will use up the smaller ones! I may be keeping this card on display in my workroom for a while because I just love the looks of it.

I think it would be a great look for several other occasions too, like Mother's Day, Get Well, Thinking of You, Friendship, and Sympathy.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda

Flowers of Beauty, Unbounded Love, Friendship, Birthday, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card with LOTS of layers that I found on Pinterest. I clicked on the link but didn't find any measurements. You can see the original card here. Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White for the layer and on top of that layer is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White that was textured using the "Exposed Brick" embossing folder. I glued that piece to the first piece I cut and then I taped those two to the front of the card.

Next I took a 2-1/2" x 3-5/8" piece of Azure Afternoon card stock and textured it using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder. Then I cut 1-1/8" strips off the 2-1/2" side so the strips measured 1-1/8" x 3-5/8".  You need four of these strips. Dimensionals were added to the back and the strips were set in place on top of the "Distressed Tile" piece. I added the top and the bottom pieces first and then the middle ones.

Then I die cut the largest circle from the "Everyday Details" die set using Basic White card stock. I glued it on top of the Azure Afternoon strips.

The flowers from the "Flowers of Beauty" bundle were stamped next using Misty Moonlight ink for the outline and Azure Afternoon ink for the petals on a piece of Basic White card stock. I colored the centers with my Daffodil Delight marker and I cut them out using the matching dies in the bundle. You need three of these flowers. I set them in place using Dimensionals. Taking the "Everyday Details" circle I had cut, I added the top flower first, then the one on the right and then the left one. Where the flowers touch each other no Dimensionals were added. I didn't want them to be bulgy.

For the leaves I stamped them on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Old Olive ink for the outline and Granny Apple Green ink for the solid part. I die cut them using the matching die. I did do something a little different on my leaves to give them a lighter and darker color. I inked up one leaf first, stamped it and then inked both and stamped them. I used my Stamparatus to do that so I could stamp in the same place more than once and get the ink exactly where it needs to go. I cut the leaves out using the matching die in the bundle. I used a little bit of glue on the leaves and tucked them under the flowers.

The words are from the "Unbounded Love" bundle and were stamped using Misty Moonlight ink. I cut them using the smallest circle in the "Everyday Details" die set. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This card did have a lot of layers and pieces but I thought it was SO worth it. The original card added ribbon and linen thread. I opted not to. I didn't have any ribbon that would match and I thought the linen thread didn't look good alone so I left it off.

I think this is a very versatile card too.  Even the wording on it "hello" could be for a birthday, thinking of you, get well, or friendship card.

Now this was the card I was going to make yesterday but after playing around with the flowers I ended up with what I posted, which I was happy with but I do like today's card SO much better.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship or birthday card,
Wanda

Choose Happy, Unbounded Love, Get Well Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have one of my most favorite card layouts to share with you. Please read on to see how the card was made.

When I make this card I step out of my comfort zone and make a card that opens on the bottom with the fold on the top. The sheet of card stock was cut in half on the short size at 4-1/4". Once cut the piece measures 4-1/4" x 11".  I uses the new Petunia Pop card stock. Such a pretty color.

The layers are cut as follows, the Basic White piece measures 3-1/2" x 4-5/8". The Bubble Bath piece measures 3" x 4-1/8" and the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Unbounded Beauty" 12" x 12" package was cut at 2-7/8" x 4".

I took the DSP and added a little bit of tape to the Bubble Bath card stock, lining up all the edges. I try to put my tape where the circle will be cut out. I use my 1-1/4" circle punch for that. The top edge of the circle starts about 5/8" from the edge of the card stock. You can also punch out a 1-1/4" circle from a piece of scrap paper and use a little dot of tape and set it where you want it on the card and then hover over that area with your punch or lay your circle die on top of it.

The DSP needs to have a larger circle so I like to use a piece of copier paper behind it for strength and then I punch out the ring using the 1-3/8" circle punch. The two layers are then taped together.

I wrapped Baker's Twine around the piece three times. It starts 1" up from the bottom of the Bubble Bath card stock layer. I used a bit of tape to hold it in place on the back while I wrapped it and then used a piece of scotch tape to hold it down.

The bee from the "Choose Happy" set using black Memento ink. I colored the body in using my Lemon Lolly marker. It was stamped on a piece of Basic White card stock that measures about 2-1/4" x 2-1/4".  I added Dimensionals around the back of the circle and set the bee in place.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the Bubble Bath piece and a bit of tape to the Basic White bee stamped piece and the piece was set in place on top of the Basic White layer. Then that was taped to the front of the card.

The words are from the "Unbounded Love" bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I used the die from the same bundle to cut them out. Dimensionals were added to the back, I had cut them to fit. I didn't want them to touch the twine or it would not lay nice.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock was added to the inside and the card was done.

I love this layout, it allows you to use the smaller images, it really highlights them. I'm happy with the way this card turned out and look forward to using this lay out again with more images from the "Choose Happy" set.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's get well card,

Enduring Beauty, Days to Remember, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a versatile card to share with you. I made mine into a birthday card but it can be used for several other occasions. It's very easy to make and you can have the prettiest coloring you've ever done! I am amazed at how it turned out. Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Daffodil Delight card stock and I taped it to the front of the card.

A piece of Basic White card stock was used to die cut the postage stamp edged rectangle piece using the dies from the "Enduring Beauty" bundle. Then I textured it using the "Painted Texture" embossing folder. I glued that on top of the Daffodil Delight piece, centering it as much as I could by eyeing it.

I stamped the flower image using the stamp from the "Enduring Beauty" bundle on a piece of Basic White card stock with black Memento ink. I colored the piece in using the fun masks. They are numbered and have a "V" on the upper left edge so you really can't mess it up. Using my Blending Brush I colored the flowers in using Daffodil Delight ink. Then the next mask does the highlights. I scrubbed on some Crushed Curry and that was it for the flowers. Next was the leaves. I used Granny Apple Green and the next mask. And then the details on the leaves was done with another mask. I used Garden Green for that and the piece was all colored.  I set up my workspace to do several flowers at one time since I was getting the stencils all inked up. I set them aside and will make a card with them on another day.

The bundle has a die to cut out the whole flower image. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.

The words are from the "Days to Remember" set and were stamped using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I punched them out using the punch from the "Dual Oval" punch.

Using the same punch I punched out a Granny Apple Green scalloped oval. I taped the ovals together. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card. And the card was done.

Isn't it pretty? I love the coloring, it looks SO perfect! I'm in awe!

Petal Park, Days to Remember, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today's birthday card could be used for a number of other occasions like, thinking of you, get well, Mother's Day or friendship. I love creating cards that can be versatile. Sometimes I make extra and then stamp the word pieces but don't tape them down. I set them inside the card so I can add what I need when I need it. Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.

I too a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Bee Mine" 12" x 12" package. I have SO much of that DSP left. But making extra cards for future events I should be able to use up a bit more of it. I taped that piece of DSP to the front of the card.

A 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White card stock was cut for the focal piece. I stamped the leaves using Granny Apple Green ink and then I textured it using the "Exposed Brick" embossing folder. I glued this piece to the front of the card.

The flowers were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Crushed Curry for the outline and Daffodil Delight for the petals. I used my light Pecan Pie Blends pen for the flower centers. I fussy cut the flowers because I didn't buy the punch. One can only purchase so many items and make cuts where you can so you can get the items you think you'll have the most fun with. Once the flowers were cut I set them in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

The words are from the "Days to Remember" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. I punched them out using the "Double Oval" punch. I also used the same punch on a scrap piece of Granny Apple Green card stock for the scalloped layer behind them. I taped the two ovals together. Dimensionals were added to the back and they were set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

I thought this card went together quickly and it wasn't ugly! LOL

Days to Remember, Simply Zinnia, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another quick card to share with you. I love making quick cards as much as I love making cards with lots of layers.  Today's card has a little fun fold to it. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I scored the front of the card 1-1/4" from the fold. I glued that area shut.

The splatter folder from the "Stripes & Splatters" embossing folder set was used on a piece of Basic White card stock. I trimmed that piece to 1" x 5-1/4" and I glued it to the left side of the card.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is the "Simply Zinnia" 12" x 12" package.  I think that's what it's called. I was gifted six 4" x 6" pieces along with matching card stock from Terri when I had placed an order with her. It's always fun to get things in the mail, isn't it?  So today I thought I'd play with the new stuff.  It also came with a technique page that has a card you make and then a small one the page for future reference. I have lots of those fun techniques in my binder. So back to the card. I cut my piece of DSP 3" x 5-1/2" and I taped it to the front of the card.

The words are from the "Days to Remember" and were stamped using black Memento ink. They were punched out using the "Double Oval" punch. I also used the same punch to punch out the Old Olive scalloped oval. I taped the ovals together, added Dimensionals to the back and I set it in place on the front of the card.  And that was it. A super quick and easy card to make. Oh and pretty too! Wouldn't this make a pretty Mother's Day card, get well card, thinking of you card, thinking of you card, friendship card, or a thank you card?  Such versatile paper. I love versatility with the items I work with.

Days to Remember, Meandering Meadows, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I'm going to share with you a card I made using a leftover piece from yesterday's card.  It seems like either nothing goes to waste or it gets hoarded. I decided to use the piece and make a card. Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Painted Texture" embossing folder. I glued that to the card base.

Next I took my piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) that measured 2" x 6" and I trimmed it to 2" x 5" and I taped it to a 2-1/4" x 5-1/4" piece of Mossy Meadow card stock. I glued this to the front of the card about 1/4" from the top, folded side and bottom.

The words are from the "Days to Remember" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. I punched them out using the "Double Oval" punch. I also used the same punch to punch out the scalloped Mossy Meadow oval piece. I taped the two pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card. And that was it. It was done and SO quickly too.

This was a very fun, quick and easy card to make. It can also work for other occasions too, like sympathy, get well, thank you or thinking of you.  Lot's of versatility in this card.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Flight & Airy, Wanted to Say, Get Well Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a get well card to share with you. I found this card on Pinterest and I did make a little change to it. You can see the original card here. I did click on the link but was not given any measurements so please read on to see how this card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Layered Florals" embossing folder. I glued that to the front of the card base.

Next I cut a circle around the birds from the "Flight & Airy" 12" x 12" package of Designer Series Paper DSP) using the 5th smallest circle in the "Deckled Circles" die set. I had cut a 10 piece of ribbon (retired) and laid it across the card. I did glue it hold it down. Dimensionals were added to the back of the circle piece and it was set in place over the ribbon.

The word piece is from the "Wanted to Say" die set. I used Basic White for the words and Boho Blue for the layer behind it. I taped the words to the layer and the piece was set in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals on the right side and glue on the upper left. And that was it, the card was done.

It's so pretty and cheerful looking. It was a fun card to make and very quick and easy too.

Heartfelt Hexagon, Friendship Card, Get Well Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card to share with you that I found while surfing the net. I had most of the supplies so I thought I'd go for it. You can see the original card here. Please read on to see how I made the card with the supplies I had.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Night of Navy card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut two 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of Basic White card stock, one was taped to the inside and the other was textured using the "Distressed" embossing folder and taped to the outside.

Next I cut a 2-3/4" x 4-1/2" piece of Night of Navy card stock for the layer and a 2-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Countryside Inn" 12" x 12" package was taped to the top of that. What was left over from my DSP was a 1/2" x 4-3/4" strip that I used for the top of the layers.

The words are from the "Heartfelt Hexagon" set and were stamped using Night of Navy ink. I punched them out using the "Heartfelt Hexagon" punch. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.

Two pearls were added to the strip and the card was done.

It's close to the original card. I'm pleased with how it turned out and that's what's important, right?

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship/get well card,

Dainty Delight, Day's to Remember, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. First I'd like to say "Happy New Year" to you all. I hope it's a wonderful year for each and every one of you, filled with much happiness and good health.

Today I have a card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. You can see the original card here. I did click through but there wasn't much information on how the card was made, so please read on to see how I made it.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White for the top layer.

On that top layer I used one of the masks in the "Artistic Mix" set. Using a Blending Brush I scrubbed on some Granny Apple Green ink in the center area of the piece.

Next I stamped the floral image from the "Dainty Delight" set using black Memento ink. The leaves were colored in with my Old Olive marker and the flowers were colored in using the Daffodil Delight marker with a little Calypso Coral for highlights. I taped this piece to the front of the card.

The words are from the "Days to Remember" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. I punched it out using the "Double Oval" punch. I also used the same punch to punch out the scalloped Old Olive card stock. I taped the two pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.

I tied a double linen bow and glued it to the front of the card, snugging it up to the scalloped oval. And that was it, the card was done. One thing fun about this card is, it's versatile. You can use it for a get well, Mother's Day, thinking of you, friendship or thank you card.

This was a fun and quick card to make. I really like the look of the masking on the background.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
