The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/4" piece of Petal Pink card stock. On top of that is a piece of Designer Series Paper (DPS) from the "Beautiful Gallery" 6" x 6" stack. The DSP measures 3-3/4" x 5". I cut the strips to measure 1-1/4" each. I cut mine by cutting the piece in half and then cutting those pieces in half. It just worked easier for me than cutting the strips one after the other.
The strips were taped on the Petal Pink piece leaving a 1/16" space between them. I taped the top and bottom strips on first and then the center two. This way you can make sure you get better spacing. Once taped in place I taped the whole piece on the front of the card.
The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink. I stamped them on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla card stock and punched them out using the "Labeled With Love" punch. I also punched out a Petal Pink one for the layer. I cut that piece in half and taped each half to the word piece. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.
This was a super quick and easy card to make and I like how it turned out.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
