The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "A Stitched Season" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the card.
Using another sheet of DSP in the same package, I cut the quilted looking piece along the lines to get four of the squares. It measured a hair shy of 3-1/2" x 3-1/2". I cut a piece of Peaceful Pine card stock to measure 3-3/4" x 3-3/4" and taped the two pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place giving equal space on the top and sides.
The words are from the "Stitched Stocking" bundle. I stamped them on a piece of Basic White card stock using Basic Black ink. They were cut out using the die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the car below the quilted layer piece.
I had the square with the tree in it sitting on my worktable because I was trying to make a card with it and just couldn't get it to look right so I had set it aside. I used the square die from the "Stitched Stocking" bundle and I snipped the tree from the center of the Real Red piece and I had just cut the green tree from a piece of DSP from the same package. I cut a square of scrap card stock for the back and taped the Real Red piece on top and then taped the green tree to the inside. Dimensionals were added to the back and Iset it on the center of the quilted piece.
The tree still looked too plain so I added Wink of Stella to it. It's okay but I think it could use something more. Maybe tiny pearls or some silvery looking thread.
I cut out the little pine trees using another die in the set from a piece of Peaceful Pine card stock. I glued them to the word piece. I also colored them with Wink of Stella. It doesn't show up in the picture but it does have a nice shimmer when the light hits it. And that was it, the card was done.
This was a pretty simple card to do. The tricky part was trimming the tree from the Real Red piece so I didn't ruin the framed piece but other than that it was easy and quick.
