The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside of the card.
The layers are as follows. The Pumpkin Pie one measures 4" x 5-1/4". The Daffodil Delight one measures 3-3/4" x 5" and the Petunia Pop one measures 3-1/2" x 4-3/4". Before taping them together I cut the moon out using a 1-5/8" circle die. I stamped the bats from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle. I set the moon aside. Once the layers were taped together I taped them to the front of the card.
Next I gathered all the pieces from the Designer Series Paper (DSP) package that I would need. They are from the "Spooky Sweet" 12" x 12" package. I was thrilled that the card used a couple of pieces that I had no idea what to do with, especially the black ribbon end piece. That piece was trimmed close to the white lines. I tried to do it on my paper cutter but ended up fussy cutting it. And the white piece behind the character was trimmed at the upper corners.
A piece of DSP was cut at 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" and taped to the Petunia Pop piece. It's about 7/8" from the top edge of the Petunia Pop piece. Next I taped the ribbon piece down. It's about 1/4" from the left edge.
The white piece that was snipped at the corners was added next. It just barely covers the white line on the right of the strip and it lines up with the top edge of the DSP.
A fence was cut from a die in the "Spooky Halloween" bundle using Basic Black card stock. I glued it to the front of the card about 1/4" up and 1/4" over from the right and bottom edges of the Petunia Pop piece.
The moon was glued on next.
The words are from the same bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Petunia Pop. Though I think you could stamp them in the center of the large layer and get by with it not showing. I cut them out using the second smallest die in the "Countryside Corners" set. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place above the white piece and about 1/4" from the Petunia Pop edge.
The character was stamped using black Memento ink and cut out using the matching die in the bundle. I also stamped and cut out the pumpkin. I colored the character using Blends pens. I used both light and dark in the following colors, Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green and Petunia Pop. Dimensionals were added to the back of the character and the pumpkin and they were set in place on the front of the card.
I didn't have the stars on the left like the ones used on the original card so I took out some glow in the dark bats I had (retired) and set three of them on the card. And the card was done.
It's just too darn cute! It's SO colorful too! Now can you see why I just had to make it? I'm anxious to see how bright the bats glow!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween card,
Wanda
