The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Painterly Pears" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the card.
Next using the oval die from the "Impressions Abloom" bundle, I cut it from another piece of DSP from the same package. I taped that to the front of the card. I centered it on the sides and left the bottom area a little longer. The top is about 5/8" from the top edge and about 5/8" from each side.
The pear and pink flowers are from another sheet in the same package of DSP. I fussy cut them because I didn't buy the bundle, just the DSP.
The leaves are from the "Impressions Abloom" and were cut using Basic White for the smaller ones and Mossy Meadow for the ones on a stem.
The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Versa Mark on a scrap piece of Mossy Meadow card stock. I sprinkled white embossing powder over it and heat set it. Then I cut it out using the smallest die in the "Nested Essentials" die set.
I taped the word piece down first. It's about 1-1/4" from the bottom of the card edge and 1/4" from the right side.
Dimensionals were added to the back of the pear and it was lightly set in place on the front of the card. I did not press down on it because I needed to slip the leaves under it.
A little glue was added to the ends of the leaves and they were slipped under the pear. The Mossy Meadow stem on the right had the end of the stem and last leaf cut off, it was just too long to fit on the card the way I had the pear set. But I did use that leaf on the bottom part of the pear on top of the two little white leaves.
I had fussy cut the pretty Petal Pink flower cluster from another piece of DSP and set in place on the card, tucking a little bit of it under the pear. I did add Dimensionals under the flowers that were showing.
I added a little bit of glue to the end of the pear stem and little Dimensionals under the two leaves and I set it in place on top of the pear.
I had some retired "Candy Dots" and I set them in place on the front of the card and the card was done.
This was a fun, quick and easy card to make. It had a little bit of fussy cutting but I didn't mind it because there was something fun on tv to watch so it makes fussy cutting go by faster!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda
