The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Beige card stock. That's a color I have hardly used. This card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.
I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Pecan Pie card stock for the layer. Using the third smallest circle from the "Stylish Shapes" set for the word layer. I cut it from the center of the Pecan Pie layer.
A 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic Beige was cut for the top large layer. I textured it using the "Corrugated" embossing folder and then I trimmed it to 3-7/8" x 5-1/8. I glued it to the Pecan Pie layer and then that was taped to the card base.
The picture is from a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Beautiful Gallery" 6" x 6" stack. I cut it to 2-7/8" x 3-1/2" and the Pecan Pie layer behind it was cut at 3" x 3-5/8". I taped the DSP to the Pecan Pie layer and then I glued that to the front of the card.
I die cut the circles, one from the Pecan Pie card stock as stated above and one from a scrap piece of Basic Beige card stock. I used the next size smaller in the "Stylish Shapes" set. I didn't stamp any words on it because I don't know what I want to use this card for. I'm not really seeing what it's staying. Sympathy? Hello? Thinking of you? What do you see?
For a final touch I added some retired "Polish Dots" that I had on hand. I'm trying to use up all of the embellishments I have here before I can justify buying any new ones.
This was a very quick and simple card to make.
Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's card,
Wanda
