The Right Words, Delightful Wishes, Pretty Florals, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog.  Today I have a card to share with you that I got lost making. It needs some work. I think the frame should be smaller and that might help.  Any creative comments are welcome. Help me make this card better. I'll redo it by your instruction and see what we can come up with.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the Mini Corrugated" embossing folder. I cut it larger than I needed because this folder makes the piece shrink in size. Once textured I cut it to 5-1/4" x 4". I glued that to the front of the card. I slipped it under my stamping mat to keep it flat while I worked on the other parts.

I knew I wanted a frame so I got out my "Stylish Shapes" dies and used the largest and second largest squares. I taped them down on a piece of Mossy Meadow card stock using post it tape. Once cut, Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

A 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock was colored in using a Blending Brush and ink. The colors of ink pads I used were Pretty in Pink, Bubble Bath, Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo. I just scrubbed on ink all over the whole piece. I had tapped on some light Pecan Pie ink from my Blends pen but it doesn't really show up here.

Next I cut the flowers from that paper I colored. The flowers are from the "Pretty Florals" bundle and the one smaller flower on the bottom right corner is from the "Delightful Wishes" bundle.  Using Mossy Meadow card stock I cut the bottoms for the flowers and using Granny Apple Green card stock I cut the leaves. I assembled the flowers and set them in place on the front of the card using glue.

The words are from "The Right Words" set and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink. I cut them out using the "Labeled With Love" punch. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

Now please help me make this card better! Whosever suggestion I use will get the card mailed to them so you will need to pay attention to my posts. Just leave your first name and last initial in the comments section with your suggestions. I will mention the winner with the new post and give instructions on how to send me your mailing address. Have fun and be creative! I'm sure you can do better than I did!

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,
Wanda
