The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and I cut out the ova from the "Impressions Abloom" bundle. Then I textured it using the "Damask Design" embossing folder. I laid it on top of the card base to see where the words would go. The words are from the "With You in Mind" set and were stamped using Gorgeous Grape ink.
Next I stamped the flowers from the "Impressions Abloom bundle, first with Highland Heather ink and then the detailed images with Gorgeous Grape. I also stamped a flower on a scrap piece of card stock. I cut that one out using the matching die.
The leaves were stamped next. I used Old Olive ink but stamped off once for the leave and then full ink for the details. I cut them out using the matching die. What's great with this bundle is there's two leaf dies so it didn't take a lot of time to cut them. I did have to cut an extra leave because some how I managed to get Old Olive ink in that bottom corner.
I glued the embossed oval piece in place and then I added the leaves and flower. I added that bottom left leaf first so I could cover up as much of that ink as possible. Then the flower was set in place using Dimensionals. The other two leaves were glued in place and the card was done. Oh, I forgot to mention the time I had on two of the card with the ink between the petals getting on the card stock. My stamp must be thinner in that one area.
This was my third attempt. The first one was going along well until the words got blurred. UGH. The second one had a right flower issue. I didn't get the details on it right and this one had ink in the corner. I thought the old adage was "third time is a charm"? Maybe that works if it's not Friday the 13th! LOL
Anyway, the card is done, it is what it is and I hope to have better luck with this bundle in the future.
Thankyou SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
