The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.
A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Flirty Flamingo was cut for the layer. Before I did anything else, I took the die from the "Stylish Shapes" and cut one from the middle of the piece.
A 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" was textured on each side using one of the images the "Glass Garden" embossing folder set. The center gets squished a bit but the flowers hide it. When I embossed my piece I set the card stock inside the folder and lined it up with the upper little flower that looks like a plus sign. It's lined up along the outside of that plus sign. I needed a reference to make sure I got the piece in far enough.
Once the piece was textured I taped it to the Melon Mambo piece and then that was taped to the front of the card base.
I followed along with Terri's video on placing the flowers and greenery. It doesn't look exactly like hers and I didn't expect it to. It is pretty and that's what I was going for. Plus it used up all the pieces from one section of the Washi tape!
The words are from the "Peaceful Pier" set and were stamped using Melon Mambo. It should have been Flirty Flamingo but by the time I realized that it was too late. I don't think you would have noticed that had I not said anything! I cut the word piece using the same size die. I taped the word piece to the Flirty Flamingo piece and I cut off the right end. I glued that to the front of the card and the card was done.
This was such a fun, quick and easy card to make!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,
Wanda
