Wild Bunch, Children's or Teens Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card to share with you using the "Wild Bunch" set. Between this set and the "Cutest Crew" set, I just can't get enough! Both are so much fun to play with. Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Smoky Slate card stock and I stamped the hash marked squares using Smoky Slate ink. I just put the stamp on my clear block as straight as I could get it and I stamped from the bottom edge up. I used the left edge of the card stock and the left edge of the clear blog as a guide so I could get a straight (or fairly straight) line. I taped this piece to the front of the care base.

Next I cut the circle from the "Spotlight on Nature" dies using Basic White card stock. I scrubbed on some Balmy Blue ink. Then I stamped the greens in the background using a stamp in the "Wild Bunch" set and Mossy Meadow ink. I masked off the bottom so it "drew" a straight line to distinguish the ground from the background.

The koala was stamped using Basic Black ink and fussy cut. I colored it in using Blends pens. I started with the cheeks and light Bubble Bath. I also colored in the ears with it too. Then I colored in the koala using light Smoky Slate. I made the highlights using dark Smoky Slate. The nose is colored in using light Basic Black. I took a white pen and added some dots and highlights on the bear. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the center of the circle. Dimensionals were added to the back of the circle and it was set in place on the front of the card about 3/4" from the top and sides.

The happy birthday is from the same set and was stamped using Basic Black ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. It was then punched out using the "Three Banner" punch. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card about 7/8" up from the bottom and about 1" from the sides.

I thought the card could use a punch of color so I glued on a few "Frosted Dots" that I got on clearance. They are so pretty and you'll be seeing them on upcoming future cards.

This was a very fun card to make and I LOVE this set SO much.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
