Scalloped Blooms, Fern & Flora, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick and easy card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and gave it a few lines using my scoring board. I flipped the piece over and started scoring at 1-1/2" over and I scored 2-1/2" up. I moved over 1/8" and scored 2-1/4". I kept moving over 1/8" and scoring 1/4" less than the previous score line. Once done I turned the piece over because I liked the lines raised.

I had some ferns cut from a previous project. They are from the "Fern & Flora" bundle and were cut from Basic White card stock.  I had positioned them on the front of the card and just ran my tape over the area where the word piece would go. It wasn't holding them in place well but they weren't moving enough to matter.

The words are from the "Scalloped Blooms" bundle and were stamped using Basic Black ink. I cut them out using the second smallest rectangle die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. The "Scalloped Blooms" bundle has it's own dies but I wanted a rectangle one for this card. Dimensionals were added to the back of the rectangle and it was set in place on the front of the card. I had really wanted to use Smoky Slate ink but for some reason I grabbed my black and it needed inking so I was doing that and the next thing I knew I stamped the words in black. It's okay because I like it as it is.

Dimensionals were added to the scored piece and it was set in place on the front of the card.

Three clear dots from the "Ladybug Garden" epoxy shapes were added to the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. I think it can be used for many other occasions as well.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda

Wanda, this is such a beautiful clean‑and‑simple design! The raised score lines add so much quiet texture, and the white ferns look gorgeous against that crisp background. I love how the sentiment panel anchors everything. Such a lovely quick card!
