The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock it opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Beautiful Pattern" embossing folder. I wanted some thing that wasn't raised very high on the card stock. I glued this piece to the card base and set it under my stamping mat to dry and lay flat.
Using Cloud Clover card stock I cut two layers. The left one measures 3" x 4-3/4" and the top one measure 3" x 3-3/4".
The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Velvet Meadow" 12" x 12" package. I love the feel of the velvet on the sheets in this package.
For the left piece I cut the DSP at 2-3/4" x 4-1/2" and the top one was cut at 2-3/4" x 3-1/2". I taped the DSP to their layers. I glued the left one in place on the front of the card and I set it under my stamping mat to lay flat as it dried.
I fussy cut the flowers from the same sheet of DSP as the left piece. This was kind of tricky to work with since the top and right flower are melded together on the sheet and the bottom part of the right flower is sort of straight. I grouped the flowers were I thought they looked the best and turned them over so I could add a little scotch tape to hold them together.
Next I fussy cut some leaves and set them near the flowers (so I wouldn't lose them).
Using the "Scalloped Blooms" bundle, I cut the third smallest scalloped circle in the set on Basic White card stock.
The "hello" from the "Fabulous Sayings" was stamped using Basic Black ink. I taped the flowers in place on the circle and then turned the piece over so I could add Dimensionals. I set the piece in place on the top rectangle. Dimensionals were added to the back of that piece and it was set in place on the front of the card.
I added a little glue to the ends of the leaves and set them in place around the flowers. I made sure the double stem/leaf piece went over the flat area of the flower to make it look not so obvious. I think it hid it well.
For my embellishments I used the clear dots from the "Ladybug Garden" package and the package was done.
I would love to make another card like this as a wedding or anniversary card. This is a very versatile card, it would also make a great get well card, birthday card, thinking of you card, and a Mother's Day card too.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda
