Wildflower Birthday, Simply Said, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Did you ever suddenly realize you needed to quick whip up a birthday card and get it out in the mail before the mail carrier arrives? Well, that happened to me today. I hadn't paid attention to the calendar and took a look today and saw I needed to rush to my workroom and whip out a card in a flash. Please read on to see how I made this card.

I took a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

Next I took the cake image from the "Wildflower Birthday" 12" x 12" package of Designer Series Paper (DSP). There are two sheets full of images just ready to put on a card. This was one of them. It was trimmed a very little bit so it measures 3-1/2" x 5".

I trimmed a piece of Misty Moonlight card stock to measure 3-3/4" x 5-1/4". I taped the DSP to it and then that was taped to the front of the card base.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. I cut them out using the die from the "Heart Shaped" bundle.  Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card. I decided to set it on the cake at an angle because putting it on straight didn't look so good because there wasn't a lot of room to place it. And that was it, the card was done. I quickly addressed the envelope and wrote a nice little note inside and off it went and just in time too! Phew!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's quick birthday card,
Wanda
