The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock for the top layer.
Using the second largest circle die in the "Stylish Shapes" set I centered it and cut my opening. Then I textured the piece using the new "Damask Designs" embossing folder. I laid it on top of the card base where it was going to be placed. I took a pencil and lightly traced the opening so I knew where the words would be going.
The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Pretty Peacock ink. Once the words were stamped I used my kneadable eraser and removed the pencil lines. I highly recommend that eraser. It only removes the graphite. It doesn't pill the card stock. And there's no eraser stubble.
Dimensionals were added to the back of the textured piece and it was set in place on the front of the card.
The flowers are from the "Extraordinary Flora" Washi tape package. What's fun with this tape is it's 10 yards long and one floral section is about 5". It's got the purplish flowers in one section and the next it has more melon colored ones. Then it repeats purplish and then melon for the whole 10 yards. There's a matching die so you can cut the whole section out at one time. I put card stock behind the Washi tape and then cut them out. Once I cut my flowers out I added them to the ones that were left over from yesterday and I began placing them around the circle. So simple and SO quick! And that was it.
This was a super easy, quick and fun card to make.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
