The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. My card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock for the top layer.
A 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock was cut for the crimping piece. Now I do not have the embossing folder that will crimp the paper so quickly and easily (it's out of stock right now) but I still have the handheld paper crimper. I forgot how much I didn't like to use it but yet I still hung onto it. I took one of those large pony tail bands and wrapped it around the handle four times so it would hole it in a "squeezed" position. I did this so I could have a hand free to make sure the paper was guided in evenly. Once crimped I set it aside.
I took the 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and using the second largest circle die in the "Stylish Shapes" set I cut a circle. It's about 11/16" from each side and the top. I saved the center piece for something else someday! After cutting the circle from the 4" x 5-1/4" piece I stamped the "You a Happy Birthday" on the bottom right using Crumb Cake ink. I glued the crimped piece to the back of the opening. I set it aside to dry.
Next I cut the "wishing" from the "Delightful Wishes" bundle. I took both Basic White and Crumb Cake card stock and added a sticky sheet to the back. I cut the words out and then the backing for the words. I had set it aside but while I was cutting the other pieces I ended up getting the word piece and putting it together because the whole time I set it aside all I could think of was the two dots for the two "i's". I didn't want to lose them so I went ahead and put the word pieces together including the dots!
After cutting the circle from the 4" x 5-1/4" piece I stamped the "You a Happy Birthday" on the bottom right using Crumb Cake ink.
I cut the "greenery" from the "Painted Lavender" bundle using Basic White and Crumb Cake card stock. I also cut a Basic White butterfly just because it was tiny, cute and in the bundle.
Dimensionals were added to the back of the Basic White top layer and it was set in place on the front of the card.
The "greenery" was glued together and then tied with a linen bow. I glued it in place on the front of the card.
A Dimensional was added to the back of the butterfly and it was set in place on the front of the card.
This was a pretty quick card to make and I think it turned out well. I like it!
Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
