The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4' x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White for the top layer. I textured it using the "Damask Designs" embossing folder. I glued it to the front of the card and set it aside. When I set something like this aside I usually put it under my stamping mat and sometimes I lay a punch flat on top to help it along. Using Tombow mono glue doesn't usually make the card warp but I like to sort of "press" it a bit while I'm working on other parts of the card.
Next I punched out the wreath, flowers and ladybug. These are actually stickers. I used baby powder to make the wreath not so sticky. But before I put the baby powder on it I set my Dimensionals in place. I didn't want to have any issues of the Dimensionals not sticking to the wreath. Once the Dimensionals were in place I took a paint brush and brushed on some baby powder. You can also use your embossing buddy (if you still have it) on the back but be sure to add your Dimensionals first. The wreath was set in place on the upper part of the card.
Next I punched out 5 daisies from the sheet. I set them in place on the wreath. I added a cute ladybug. I was going to pop it up with a Dimensional but I forgot and I was unable to remove it because whatever they used on the back is super sticky.
I had some red ribbon so I tied a bow and glued it in place on the upper part of the wreath.
Next came the words. I have not used the "Thoughtful Moments" die and embossing folder much at all. I thought the words would be solid. I even tried coloring them with the Real Red marker but I made a mess. I even tried to brayer the ink over the words thinking the raised words would take the ink but it went on the lower areas too and made a mess. So I went with the way the piece was designed to be used. I inked up the embossing folder (on the side with the Stampin' Up! words) and then set the die cut plate in place, the card stock went over that and then it was run through the Big Shot. You get outlined cut out words. I thought about using Real Red card stock and black ink but I thought it would wouldn't look as nice. I'd really like the words to be solid red but it is what it is and I still like how it looks.
This was a super quick and easy card to make. I can't wait to come up with some other ideas for the pieces in that package.
Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,
Wanda
