Peaceful Pier, The Right Words, Sympathy Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I was going to try something I don't do very often (hardly at all), I cased the catalog (sort of). Please read on to see how I made today's card.

Using the "Peaceful Pier" set I started to copy the card on page 92 of the 2025-2026 catalog. What I ended up copying was the trees and dock. The rest was left for me to figure out. I had just taken what I liked about the card in the catalog and left the rest.

On a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White card stock, I stamped the trees and dock using black Memento ink. I colored the trees and shrub in using my Granny Apple Green marker. I colored the pine trees in using my Mossy Meadow marker. I also tapped that marker on the trees and shrub.

The dock was colored in using the SU500 Blends pen.

The rocks were colored in using my Smoky Slate marker.

Using my Blending Brush I scrubbed on some Pool Party ink for the water and Soft Sky for the sky.

The words were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using black Memento ink. They are from "The Right Words" set. I fussy cut them out. Dimenionals were added to the back. I set them aside.

I taped a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Mossy Meadow card stock to the card base. Then I taped the stamped focal piece to that. The words were then added and the card was done.

I am not sure why I chose this set. I did like the peaceful look of the card in the catalog and I do like the fish in the set (that will probably be used on a future card). I like to try to buy a masculine set every catalog.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's sympathy card,
Wanda
