Reason to Celebrate, Easter Time Ephemera, Easter Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have an Easter card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. I was searching for an Easter card to make because I am going to go visit my mom tomorrow and I wanted to bring her an Easter card because I was told it takes 2 weeks for mail to get to the residents. I don't know why it takes that long or if it is true but I'm bringing her card tomorrow along with some of her favorite candies.  You can see the original card by clicking here.   Please read on to see how I made this card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Gorgeous Grape card stock for the largest layer.

The Basic White layer measures 3-3/4" x 5" and I textured it using the "Beautiful Pattern" embossing folder. I glued it to the Gorgeous Grape piece and I set it under my stamping mat to set up while I worked on the other parts of the card.

The wreath and bunny are from the "Easter Time" mix & match ephemera package. These cute cut outs make it way for you to create a quick card.

The words are from the "Reason to Celebrate" set and were stamped using Gorgeous Grape ink. I cut the piece to measure 1-1/2" x 1-1/4".  I rounded each corner with a corner rounder.  (what a tough sentence to type!! LOL).

I taped the Gorgeous Grape layered piece to the front of the card.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the wreath and I set it in place on the front of the card. It's about 1/2" from the top and 5/8" from each side.

I laid the bunny on top of the wreath to see where I needed to add tape and where I needed to add Dimensionals. I set the bunny in place about 1/2" from the side of the ear and fold and 3/4" from the bottom edge.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the word piece and it was set in place on the lower part of the card. It's about 1/2" from the bottom edge and 1/2" from the right edge.

I thought the card could use a little bling so I added a few colored rhinestones from the (retired) "Noble Peacock" package and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I'm sure my mom will like it. Plus there's still more pieces in that package that I can make additional Easter cards.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Easter card,
Wanda

Very sweet Easter card. The ephemera pack you mentioned would really be handy.
