The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Secret Sea card stock. Once cut it measures 4-1/4" x 11". It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.
The Designer Series Paper (DSP) I used is from the "Lovely Blossoms" 12" x 12" package and was cut at 4" x 5-1/4". I taped it to the front of the card.
The floral image is also from that same package, it's one of the smaller flower images on a full sheet of fun images. That piece measured 3" x 4".
The Secret Sea layer behind the focal piece measures 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" and the Crumb Cake piece behind that measures 3-1/2? x 4-1/2". I taped the Secret Sea layer to the focal piece and that was taped to the Crumb Cake piece. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card. I centered it as much as I could by eyeing it.
I stuck a glue dot on the area near the stem of the flower and looped a piece of linen thread to it.
The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. It measures 2-3/4" x 1/4". Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place over the linen piece.
I didn't have the embellishments that the original card had and (if you can believe this) I didn't have any "Candy Dots" (retired) in a dark blue or black. I am almost out of "Candy Dots". I ended up using a few crystal rhinestones and the card was done.
This was such a super quick and easy card to make. I love the look of it. The colors used here are so soothing.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
