Simply Said, Greenery Lane Washi Tape, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a thinking of you card to share with you. I found it on Pinterst and thought I'd give it a try. I haven't played with the "Greenery Lane" washi tape much and when I saw that card I decided to make it. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Garden Green card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

On the front I cut a Pretty Peacock layer and taped it to the front of the card. Then I cut a 1/4 sheet of Garden Green card stock and textured it using the "Forever Plaid" embossing folder. After texturing I cut it to 3-7/8" x 5-1/8". I glued this to the Pretty Peacock piece. I put it under my stamping mat to help it dry flat.

I took the washi tape and rolled some of it off onto a piece of Basic White card stock. It was trimmed to 3-1/2" x 3-1/2". Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the left side of the card, leaving about 1/4" on the left side, top and bottom of the embossed piece.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Pretty Peacock ink on Basic White card stock. The "Labeled With Love" punch was used to punch the piece out. I also punched out a Pretty Peacock piece for the layer. I cut that piece in half down the middle. Tape was added to each side of the word piece and it was taped to the Pretty Peacock pieces. Dimensionals were added to the right side and tape to the left and it was set in place on the lower right side of the card.

I added a brass butterfly to the word piece and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. I really like the washi tape and I will be making another card with it soon. I had a problem getting the washi tape on the Basic White card stock and I ended up giving it a couple of tries and now I have some large pieces to work with. So why not make a card or two with them? I'll be able to cut around the pieces that got warps or little creases on it. SO stay tuned!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,
Wanda
