Mother's Day Card

Oh, don't be too impressed. It's one thing to make your cards early. It's another to remember where you put them or even to get them sent out on time!!

I was SO inspired by a card I saw on Splitcoast by cdrhoades . I was most impressed by the basket. You use the new Round Tab punch found in the Stampin' Up! Spring mini catalog. I cut the top off flat. Before I punched it out I used the "Canvas" background stamp on it. The handle to the basket is made by using both oval punches. Super easy! (If you click on the picture you can see it close-up. Just hit the back browser button at the top of the screen to navigate back here). I added some of the new Petals & Paisleys decorative paper and a few flowers from the "Little Reminders Accents & Elements" tin. I used the "Happy Mother's Day" stamp from the "All Year II" set. I use Black Staz-on for wording. It's a bit more vivid than regular black ink. I added a few brads and a punched out a couple of black 1/2" circles. The background is stamped with the "Canvas" stamp on the Certainly Celery piece and the card stock behind it is Always Artichoke. And don't forget the sponging. There's LOTS of sponging on this card! Remember, it's my favorite technique!!!

Thank you for checking in!
