Traditions of Christmas, Traditional Labels, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. I wanted to make this card because it uses busy Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I struggle with busy paper and this card makes great use of it. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how I put it together.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Pool Party card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

On the front a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Real Red card stock was cut. On top of that is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White card stock. Before I taped the two pieces together I cut the pieces of DSP and the layer behind it.

The DSP piece measured 3" x 3-1/4", then it was cut into three 1" strips. They strips were taped to a 3-3/8" x 3-1/4" piece of Real Red card stock.  I laid the piece on top of the Basic White piece to see where the words would go.

The words are from the "Traditional Labels" bundle and were stamped using Garden Green ink. Once the words were stamped I set the floral piece in place using Dimensionals.

Three red glittered embellishments were added to near the words. I had some retired enamel dots, I covered them with clear nail polish and sprinkled red glitter on top. I recommend doing this first so the polish is set up before you are ready to use them. Once the dots were put in place, the card was done.

This was a very fun, quick and easy card to make. I love it when I can find cards that use busy DSP! I think it looks lovely!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
