Charming Day, Female Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. You can see the original card here. When I entered the blog address to this card, I got a warning that the site wasn't safe so I closed the page.  I just made the card by looking at the pic on Pinterest. I changed it a little but for the most part it looks the same. Please read on to see how I made the card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White card stock and I textured it using the "Damask Design" embossing folder. I glued it to the card base.

The flowers are from the "Charming Day" bundle. I stamped and die cut two of them. I also die cut two of the stems of leaves from Mossy Meadow card stock.

I colored the flowers using both light and dark Pumpkin Pie Blends pens. And the stamped leaves were colored using both light and dark Mossy Meadow Blends pens.

I cut a 2-1/2" Crumb Cake circle. I stamped the "Hey" from the same "Charming Day" bundle using Mossy Meadow ink.

The Happy Birthday is also from the same set and was stamped using Mossy Meadow ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock.

To put the pieces together I added some tape to the back of one of the flower pieces. I cut off the larger flower on the second piece. I took that piece and stuck it to the piece that was whole. The leaves that were cut from the large flower piece were stuck to the back of the upper part of the whole piece. And the one large leaf was cut from that first large flower. It was stuck to the bottom right side of the large whole piece.

Dimensionals were then added to the back of all of the pieces that were stuck together. I took the circle with the "Hey" stamped on it and the Dimensionals from the large piece held it in place. I didn't press down on the Dimensionals because I needed to slip the greenery in. The top piece of greenery was cut off and the remaining piece was the one that is stuck to the left side. And the second cut piece of greenery was cut and it was slipped under the leaves on the bottom. I had to add a little glue to the ends to get them to stay in place.

Tape was added to the back of the circle and then the whole piece was set in place. I pressed down so the Dimensionals would make it all stick to the front of the card.

I tied a linen bow and set it on the front of the card using a glue dot.

Dimensionals were added to the word piece and it was set in place over the bow. I don't believe I mentioned the word piece after stamping it. I cut it to 5/8" wide and 3" long. I snipped the ends at an angle. I usually snip one end and then put the cut piece on the other side so they are the same.

I added a few pearls to the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a very fun card to make. I love coloring with the Blends pens. They make you look like you are REALLY good at coloring.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
