Joyful Days Memories & More, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. Each year I say I'm going to start my Christmas cards in late summer but it never happens. I will be rushing next month, after Thanksgiving, to get my cards made, the family letter written and then sent out just before Christmas. Hopefully next weekend I can find some time to get my cards started. I think it's the designing of it that holds me back the most. Once I figure that out, it's just a matter of cutting and taping (which can be done in front of the tv while watching a movie). Anyway, please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Mossy Meadow card stock for the layer. On top of that is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece from the "Joyful Days Memories & More" card pack. I had trimmed that piece to fit my card. It originally measures 6" x 4".  I taped that to the front of the card.

The words are from another piece in the same pack. There's a stack of images that measure 3" x 4".  I trimmed up the "Christmas Cheer" to measure 2-5/8" x 1-3/16" and I cut a 2-7/8" x 1-1/2" piece of Mossy Meadow for the layer. I taped the two pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

I had some "White Loose Snowflakes" leftover from a couple of catalogs ago so I glued a few on the front of the card and the card was done. Pearls or clear rhinestones would be pretty on it too.

This was a very quick, easy and fun card to make. It's not real colorful but that's okay. I have a guy I will be sending this to and it's perfect for him. Not a lot of frill and just enough cheer!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
