The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Early Espresso card stock for the layer. On top of that is some fun Designer Series Papers (DSP) from the "Autumn Toile" 12" x 12" package. I cut the piece on the left at 1-1/2" x 5" and the piece on the right was cut at 2-1/4" x 5". I taped them to the Early Espresso piece.
A piece of linen thread was wrapped around the layers three times and then tied in a knot. No bow, it's a masculine card!
The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock using Early Espresso ink. I cut them out using the "Labeled with Love" dies. I also cut an Early Espresso piece too. I cut the Early Espresso piece in half and taped each one to the back of the word piece. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card, over the threads.
Dimensionals were added to the back of the Early Espresso layered piece and it was set in place on the front of the card. And the card was done.
This was a super quick and easy card to make. I used scrap for the piece on the left so it was nice to get that out of my package.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,
Wanda
