Spooky Halloween, Spooky Sweet, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have one last Halloween card to share with you using the Stampin' Up! "Spooky Sweet" Designer Series Paper (DSP). I used some of the other pieces left for a few non-Stampin' Up! cards. I may share them with you but I have other cards I want to post. I may do a double post. I don't usually make two posts in one day but I could do that just to show you how fun those cards are. Anyway, please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White and taped it to the inside.

For the front I had taken a piece of the prettiest DSP in the package and taped it to the front.  Then I cut the arch out using the 5th largest die in the "Everyday Arches" set.

The piece behind is another piece of DSP. It's the one with the light orange lines going through it. I used my Blending brush and scrubbed on some Petunia Pop all over the piece. Then I scrubbed on a little Secret Sea on the upper area and some Mossy Meadow on the lower part. I glued that to the inside of the card front.

I cut the house, bat and fence using the dies from the "Spooky Halloween" bundle and Basic Black card stock.

A piece off Daffodil Delight was trimmed for the back of the house. I glued that in place and set it aside. The characters are from the same package of DSP and were on a pre-cut sheet. I popped them out and added Dimensionals to the back.

The fence was glued in place and then the house was taped down just a hair above the fence. Dimensionals were added to the back of the characters and they were set in place on the front of the card.. The bat was set in place with a Dimensional. I didn't have a "boo" die cut so I cut one out on my Cricut. After I had taken the photo and posted it on here I saw that the "boo" could have used some yellow behind the openings on the letters. So I cut some tiny pieces of Daffodil Delight card stock and slipped it under the opening. They are a bit small and the yellow didn't show up as much as I would have liked it to but it does show up some.

For a final touch I took my Wink of Stella pen and colored in the bat, house windows, boo, the crown, the dress on the character on the left and I colored in the pumpkin and body of the other character.

This was a very fun card to make and I'm glad to have used up a full package of DSP!  It's too bad I can't make some kind of fireworks type activity on this post! LOL

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween card,
Wanda
