The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut the focal piece from a sheet of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Wildflower Birthday" 12" x 12" package. I was hoping that Stampin' Up! would put this in the new catalog but I didn't see it there. (I got my catalog in the mail early this afternoon but wasn't informed it was here until I ran across it in the early evening. Someone is grounded! LOL). Anyway, this image was cut from a sheet that was full of other pieces that can be made into cards or used as layers. The piece was trimmed to 3-1/2" x 5". I trimmed it because I wanted the numbers to be easier to work with plus I wasn't great at cutting on the line to separate this piece from the one next to it so there was a bit of color on the edge. I didn't trim much though, this piece was about the size you see.
A 3-3/4" x 5-1/4" piece of Misty Moonlight card stock was cut for the layer.
Next I stamped the words. They are from the "With You in Mind" set. I stamped them using Misty Moonlight ink. Then I taped the piece to the Misty Moonlight layer and that was then taped to the front of the card.
I thought the card still needed something so I popped out the cupcake from the sheet that was full of pop out images. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the left side of the card. And that was it, the card was done.
This was such a quick and easy card to make. I'm going to miss that DSP package.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
