Storybook Moments, Simply Said, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. I still have some sheets of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Storybook Memories" left and I thought I'd make one more card before I move onto something else. I had cut this piece out because it was the only whole design left on the sheet. Other characters had been fussy cut from it so I thought I'd salvage what I could and recycle the remainder. Please read on to see how I made this card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White card stock for the top layer.

I had a strip of Basic White card stock that had been textured using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder. It measures 1-3/8" x 4". It was sitting on my worktable so I thought I'd use it.

The bunnies were cut from the "Storybook Moments" package of DSP using the second largest square die in the "Stylish Shapes" set. If you don't have those dies you can just cut your DSP at 2-3/8" x 2-3/8". And the Cajun Craze layer behind it was cut at 2-5/8" x 2-5/8". I taped the 2 layers together. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set aside. I laid the textured piece on the front of the card along with the bunnies to see where the words would go. I didn't affix them yet.

The "hello" is from the "Simply Said" set and was stamped using Cajun Craze ink.

Now I was ready to add the strip and bunnies. The strip is about 3/4" from the fold and about 3/4" from the top and bottom. I glued it in place.

The bunnies were set in place about 1-1/8" from the fold and about 1-7/16" from the top and bottom edges. And that was it, the card was done.

I thought it was a fun, quick and easy card to make. Plus I go to use up some pieces sitting around here.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda
