Delightful Wishes, Adventurous Sky, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a floral birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Old Olive card stock for the layer. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DPS) from the "Floral Delight" 12" x 12" package. I taped it on top of the Old Olive piece.

Next I cut a piece of Old Olive card stock that measures 4-3/4" x 2".  I textured it using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder. It was then glued to the front of the card about 1/2" from the fold and about 3/8" from the top edge.

I cut a circle from Basic White card stock using the second largest die from the Stylish Shapes set.

The flowers are from the "Delightful Wishes" bundle and were cut using Daffodil Delight for the base of the flowers and Crushed Curry for the details on the large flower and Lemon Lolly for the details on the smaller flowers. I set them in place on the circle using Dimensionals.

I cut three Old Olive leaves. I had a scrap piece but you can cut them from the center of the Old Olive layer, no one will ever know there's card stock missing there. I glued them in place under the flowers.

I still have a lot of pearls so I used them on the center of the flowers.

The words are from the "Adventurous Sky" bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink. I cut them out using the die in the "Delightful Wishes" bundle. I snipped the ends so it wasn't as long. The words were too short for that die. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card about 1" from the bottom edge of the card and 3/8" from the right side. And that was it, the card was done.

This was a pretty quick and easy card to make. I have SO much of this DSP to use up and so little time to do it, it retires in a few days.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
