The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock for the large layer.
The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Brushed With Beauty" 12" x 12" package. I cut the four pieces at 1" x 1". Using the corner rounder, I rounded two opposite corners.
The Mossy Meadow layer behind the squares is cut at 1-1/8" x 1-1/8". And again I rounded two opposite corners.
I taped the DSP to the Mossy Meadow layer. Dimensionals were added to the back. Before removing the backing on the Dimensionals I set the pieces in place to see how much space I had for words.
I used the birthday wishes from the "Simply Said" set. They were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink.
Once the stamping was done, I set the squares in place. Set the points to the center. I left about 1/8" space between the pieces.
I taped the large layer to the front of the card and the card was done.
This is such a quick and easy card to make and I like this layout. If (when) I make another one I think I would use an embossing folder on maybe another layer. I'll have to work with that.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
