Banner Sayings, Friendly Foliage, Fragrant Layers, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you. I had this idea in my head and it came out better on paper!  That has never happened before! LOL Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" and a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White card stock and textured both of them using the "Beautiful Pattern" embossing folder. I taped the larger one onto the front of the card base.

Then I cut a 1-1/4" x 3-7/8" piece of Basic White card stock. On this strip I wrapped a piece of white Baker's Twine around it twice. I tied a knot to hold it but waited to tie a bow.

I cut the flowers and leaves next. I used "Perennial Lavender" Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the "Fragrant Layers" dies for the flowers. I also used the "Friendly Foliage" dies for the white leaves.

I had taken a tiny piece of card stock and colored it with my light Lemon Lolly Blends pen and glued it to the back of the large flower because it had an open space.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the large flower and it was set in place on the front of the card. Next I glued on the smaller flowers, then the green leaves and then the white leaves.

I added pearls to the centers of each flower. The large pearl pretty much covered up the Lemon Lolly center.

I tied a bow on the Baker's Twine and trimmed the ends.

The "Happy Birthday" is from the "Banner Sayings" bundle and were stamped on a 3/8" strip of Basic White card stock that I trimmed back the ends to 1-1/2" long.  Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was such a fun, quick and easy card to make. I am very pleased at how it turned out.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in to see today's birthday card,
Wanda
