Charming Day, Floral Charm, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you. My daughter-in-law has a birthday coming up so I thought I'd get her card made now. Please read on to see how it was made.

The bae of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the inside.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Timid Tiger card stock. On top of that is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Floral Charm" 12" x 12" package. I taped the DSP to the Timid Tiger piece and then that was taped to the front of the card base.

Using the "Everyday Arches" set, I cut one of Basic White using the 5th largest die and one of gold foil card stock using the 4th largest one.

I took the Basic White piece and stamped the leaves from the "Charming Day" bundle and stamped Timid Tiger ink on it, stamping off and then stamping on the card stock. I was trying to keep it all stamped off but I forgot and stamped right from the ink pad. I had gotten into a rhythm and then I didn't! LOL So I added a couple more with full ink and called it done. I taped this piece to the gold foiled piece.

Next I die cut some flowers and leaves from the "Charming Day" bundle using Mossy Meadow card stock and Basic White card stock.  I cut a long stemmed flower in both Mossy Meadow and Basic White. I cut the flower head off the Basic White piece and colored it using a blending brush and Timid Tiger ink. I glued the flower head to the Mossy Meadow flower head.

I glued down a branch that has lot of leaves on it first, then the long stemmed flower. I tucked in the white leaf pieces around the stem area.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the arched layers and set it in place at an angle on the front of the card.

The words are from the "Charming Day" bundle and stamped them using Mossy Meadow ink on Basic White card stock. I trimmed the piece to 2-5/8" x 7/8". I layered it on a 2-3/4" x 1" piece of Mossy Meadow card stock for the layer. I added Dimensionals to the bottom and sides. I added a little bit of tape to the upper center and set the piece in place on the front of the card.

For a final touch I added a couple of brass butterflies and the card was done.

This was a fun and easy card to make. I like the colors and the flower bud was my favorite part to make.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
