Traditions of Christmas, Jolly Holly, Season's of Elegance, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

 Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. When I was looking at my stuff to see what to make, I came across the images I had already fussy cut. Well, you can't let them. just sit there after the time invested in cutting them. So, I just had to make a Christmas card. Please read on to see how it was made. 

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. 

I textured 2" of the right side using the "Jolly Holly" embossing folder.  Once that was textured I taped a 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Seasons of Elegance" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the left side leaving about 1/4" on the top, bottom and the fold side. 

Next the large floral image had been fussy cut from the "Traditions of Christmas" 12" x 12" package of DSP.  I set it in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals. I sort of centered it.  It's at an angel so it's difficult to tell if it's centered but it looked okay to my eyes so I pressed down on the image to make it stick. I said that because when placing items on my card I just lay them lightly in case I have to move them a bit. Once you press down on it you're kind of stuck with where it lands.  

Once the large piece was in place, the leaves were glued on. They were cut from a piece of DSP from the "Seasons of Elegance" package using the die from the "Christmas Greenery" bundle.  I do not have the dies in this bundle but I was given a few leaves to play with.  

I had fussy cut one of the flowers that were on the piece of DSP that the large piece was on. I didn't want to waste the images! It's not like it was partially on the sheet. It was a whole flower with leaves after all! What would you do? I glued this piece to the lower right corner.

The words are from an older Paper Pumpkin kit and were stamped using black Memento ink on a piece of Basic White card stock and were cut out using the die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. 

A few embellishments were added and the card was done. 

This was a fun card to make and I am very happy with the way it turned out. You never know what you're going to get when you have pieces in front of you and no plan.
