Peaceful Garden, Peace on Earth, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a simple card to share with you. It's a two/for card. You will need to cut your Designer Series Paper (DSP) and once it's done you will be able to make two cards from it.  Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock for the large layer.

Next I cut the DSP from the "Peaceful Garden" 12" x 12" package. It measures 2-3/8" x 3-1/2".  I cut two because I wanted to use the backside of the dove imaged side. When you cut on the diagonal on one piece, switch corners for the second piece and turn it over. I also cut a piece of copier paper that measures just shy of 2-3/8" x 3-1/2".  I cut it scant because I didn't want it to show when I place the two pieces of DSP on top. After taping the pieces of DSP on the top of the copier paper I set it on top of the Basic White card stock so I could see where the words go.

The words are from the "Peace on Earth" bundle. I stamped them using black Memento ink. Once the words were stamped I taped the rectangle piece in place.

I cut a dove from the same "Peace on Earth" bundle using Basic White card stock. I cut the spring using a scrap piece of Secret Sea card stock and the die from the same bundle.

The dove was set in place using Dimensionals and the a tiny dot of glue was placed on each leaf and set in place on the dove, making sure the end of the stem was by the beak.  And that was it, the card was done.

Such a fun card to make. I guess I should say fun cards!  It's quick and easy and I ended up with two cards in no time.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
