Birthday Treats Mix & Match, Simply Said, Everyday Arches, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you.  Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Subtles" 6" x 6" stack.  I taped it to the front of the card.

Next I die cut the arch using a piece Basic White card stock and the 4th largest die in the "Everyday Arches" set.

Using a blending brush and Pretty in Pink ink I scrubbed on some color.

The cake and candles are from the "Birthday Treats" Mix & Match ephemera pack.  I set them in place using Dimensionals.  I did color the candles using Daffodil Delight for the flames and Balmy Blue for the candles. I set the piece in place on top of the arched piece.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the arched piece and it was set in place on the front of the card about 1" up from the bottom.  I needed to leave room for the words.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. The piece measured 2-3/8" x 3/8".  Dimenisonals were added to the back and it was set in place under the arched piece.

I added a few pearls and the card was done.

This was a very quick card to make. The "Birthday Treats" package has a lot of pieces to play with. I am planning another birthday card using one of my favorite layouts, so stay tuned!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
