The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold was on the left.
I cut a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Basic White card stock and I colored it using Pretty Pink ink and my blending brush. Once I got the color on the piece, I textured it using the "Exposed Brick" embossing folder. I glued it to the front of the card.
Next I cut out three flowers and three flower centers using Basic White card stock from the "Impressions Abloom" bundle.
Using Pretty in Pink card stock I cut the leaves from the same bundle.
The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Pecan Pie ink on a 2-3/4" x 1/2" piece of Basic White card stock.
I glued the centers to the flowers and added Dimenisonals to the back. I set the flowers in place.
Glue was added to the ends of the leaves and they were set in place under the flowers.
I tied a double bow using Baker's Twine. I added a little bit of glue and set the bow in place.
Dimensionals were added behind the word piece and it was set in place on the front of the card on top of the bow.
I added a small brass butterfly and the card was done.
This was such a pretty card and I don't feel I did it justice. I like the original card better. I may have to try this in Highland Heather or Cloud Cover and see if I can make it so I like it better.
Okay, off to celebrate the husband's birthday.
Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
