Thank You Card, June 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit Alternative Card

Happy 4th of July to everyone!  I don't often make a card related to the 4th of July. It's not a card that I normally send out.  So today I thought I would work on another piece from my June 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit.  I would love to be all done with this kit before the next one comes.  How great would that be?  LOL

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  On top of that is a textured 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Soft Sea Foam card stock.  The "Ornate Floral" embossing folder was used here. I taped it to the card base.

I punched out two medium and two large daisy flowers and glued them together in the centers.  I punched a 1/2" Crushed Curry circle for each flower and I glued it to their centers.

I took the black Polka Dotted rectangle from the June 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit and die cut a 2-1/4" circle.  There was just enough left to cut almost another full circle, so I just cut what I could and I decided to use that for my card.  I also die cut a Whisper White scalloped circle just a little larger than the polka dotted circle.  I removed the backing from the polka dotted circle and affixed it to the Whisper White scalloped circle.  I taped the circle in place on the front of the card.

The words are from the kit and I stamped them on one of the die cut labels that came in the kit. I used the Basic Black ink that was also in the kit.

I added the two flowers using Dimensionals from the kit.

The leaves from the kit were added using glue dots from the kit.  I placed them behind the flowers.

The word piece was set in place using more Dimenisonals.

And for the final touch I took the sequins from the kit and stuck them to the card front. They already had the stick on them.

This was a fun, quick and easy card to make.  If you don't have the kit you can come up with some other ways to make this card.  Use a Basic Black card stock instead of the dotted, it will look just as nice.  Find a leaf die or punch and use Garden Green card stock.  You can sponge some Garden Green ink on the edges to give it a bit more color and dimension.

You can use pearls, rhinestones or other sequins on the front of the card.

And you can use just a strip of Whisper White card stock for the words. You can snip the ends or leave them straight.   There's lots of ways to make this card similar.

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
