Ornate Borders, Peaceful Moments, Stitched So Sweetly, Thank You Card

Today's card is a very simple and quick one.  Quicker if you do it the way I didn't!!! LOL

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Coastal Cabana card stock.  This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I set the die from the "Ornate Borders" set and I ran it through my Big Shot.  I saved the part that was cut off because I will be using it for the word part.  Now to make this card easier and a little cheaper, just take a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Coastal Cabana and die cut the piece.  The card base will be a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock instead of the Coastal Cabana.

If you use Whisper White as your card base then you will need to texture the front using the new "Ornate Floral" embossing folder.    If you are doing it the way I did it, I cut a 5-1/2" x just a hair short of 4-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock and I embossed it.

I glued the die cut part to the Whisper White.  I just put some white glue on a piece of waxed paper and folded it and smoothed out the glue making sure it was long enough to cover the whole piece.  I touched the flower area on the glue, pressing it into the glue using a piece of copier paper.  Then I stuck it to the Whisper White piece.  Make sure there's tape on the other part of the die cut piece to it sticks nicely there too.  I actually added the tape first and then did the glue thing.

I stamped the words from the "Peaceful Moments" set using Bermuda Bay ink on Whisper White card stock.  I cut that piece to measure 2-3/8" x 1-5/8".

I die cut the scalloped rectangle using the "Stitched So Sweetly" dies using the left over piece of Coastal Cabana card stock.  I taped the word piece to the scalloped edge piece.  I set that piece in place using Dimensionals.

I added three sequins and the card was done.  You can use rhinestones colored with a Blends pen or just plain too.

This was a very fun and quick card to make.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to visit today,
Wanda
