July 2020 Paper Pumpkin, Thinking of You Card, Cute Glow Worm Poem

Today I played with the July 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit.  I like most of the Paper Pumpkin kits.  This one is okay. It has 8 rounded corner printed 4" x 5-1/4 pieces in it so I could make 8 cards.  There's also 8 little white paper bags with a fireworks burst die cut into each one. I'm not sure what I will do with those bags. I may put some card stock behind the die cut so the color shows through to the front or I may cover it with some other design and then add a piece of card stock to the inside to hide the die cut.  I'll let you know what I figure out (if I do figure out something to do with them).

But for today's card I ran with this. When I saw the too stinkin' cute die cut fire flies I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I had done a glow worm/fire fly card 8 years ago (way back in July of 2012) and I opened up my word processor and typed the saying:  "I wish I was a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum. 'Cos how can you be grumpy When sun shines out your bum!"  I printed it out on copier paper to make sure I got he size I needed.  I used size 10.5.  I added a little tape to the die cut white piece that came in the kit and I taped the piece down on top of the copier paper right where I wanted the words to print.  I printed the words and then removed the die cut piece from the copier paper.  It tore the copier paper but it didn't matter, I didn't need that piece.

I took a folded half-sheet of Pool Party card stock and I taped the pretty image on it.  I think this might be upside down.  Maybe the dark part is the sky and the orange part is the sunset.  It doesn't matter, it's pretty either way.  Try not to put too much thought into it, even tough you can see stars at the bottom!!! LOL

I taped the vellum die cut jar to the printed piece.  I used snail tape and you can see it through the vellum. So I recommend putting the pieces on top of the card where you want them and then tape where you won't see the tape.

I set the word piece in place with Dimensionals (that came with the kit) and then I added the fire flies with Dimensionals.

I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside and the card was done.

This was fun to make and I am thinking of making a few more cards like this.  I need to check out Pinterest to see what other's are doing with this kit before I decide to make them all like this one.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop by today,
Wanda
