Gorgeous Posies, Ornate Borders, Ornate Layers, Get Well Card

I found this layout on Pinterest. I liked the flower border on the side and the framed words.   You can see the original card here.  I made a few changes.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I took a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Highland Heather card stock and stamped the dots all over it using the dotted image from the "Gorgeous Posies" set. I used Highland Heather ink and I stamped off once before I stamped it onto the Highland Heather piece.

I took the flower border die from the "Ornate Borders" dies.  I lined it up along the right side and ran it through my Big Shot and cut out the fun flowers.  I did save the tiny leaf stems. I know they are Highland Heather in color but I think I can use a Blends pen and color them to some form of green or maybe even just black.  I just like to add more stuff to my worktable because I totally enjoy working in a space that is just big enough to make a single greeting card.  LOL  Tomorrow I'm spending some time cleaning that space up.  Wish me luck!!!  Read further for something fun on this topic!

Next I taped a piece of white ribbon to the card. I cut the ribbon 6-1/2" long and I taped the ends on the backside of the Highland Heather piece.  I also added a little bit of tape to the center of the ribbon on the front. I wanted it to lay flatter.

I stamped the leaves from the "Gorgeous Posies" set. I used Granny Apple Green stamped off once.  I also stamped those same dots in Granny Apple Green stamped off once.

The words are from the "Gorgeous Posies" set. I stamped them using black Memento ink.

Then I die cut the piece out using the "Ornate Layers" dies.  I used my "Take Your Pick" took and popped out those tiny little dots that didn't want to come out easily.  I set that word panel in place using Dimensionals.

The flower is made by punching out two using the "Medium Daisy" punch and Whisper White card stock. I glued the two pieces together.  I punched out a 1/2" circle using Crushed Curry card stock.  I still have come faceted gems that I need to use up and I still have some yellow fuzzy flower centers I need to use up too.  Gee, I'd better get busy making more flowers before summer is over.  LOL  That doesn't matter, I'll make a summer flower in the winter.  I'll even stamp a snowman in the summer.  As hot as these days have been a snowman sounds nice about now.  Anyway, I set that flower in place using a Dimensional.

The leaves are left over from my June 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit. I set them in place with three small glue dots that were in the kit.  And that finished up the card.

Now for something fun (trying to make this fun).  Like I said, I'm going to be cleaning off one of my worktables.  The one I usually spend most of my time stamping at.  The other one has sewing stuff on it (we'll get to that one another day, I can still see the color of the table on that one!).  I will offer this card to the one who guesses how many items on my table that I need to pick up, put away or toss.  A stamp set will count as one item because the stamps are all in one container.  But card stock sheets and pieces will be counted as a single item.  Now whoever guesses how many items I've removed from my table will have today's card sent to them.  Just leave a comment with your guess and I will let the one who guesses the closet to it know how to receive their card.  Sound like fun?  Well, for you anyway.  LOL I don't find cleaning up this stuff fun, that's why it piles up!  I'm not sure when this posts so what I will do is wait until Thursday July 9th to post the winner.  Have fun guessing.  P.S.  There's WAY more than 50!!!

Thank you SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
