Dandelion Wishes, Many Layers Blossoms, Wedding Card, 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Catalog

While I was looking at some cards on the internet I ran across one "similar" to this one. I say "similar" because I changed it up a bit.  When I saw the card on the internet I thought it would make a great wedding card if I made a few little changes.  I think it worked out!! You can see the original card here.

The base of the card is a half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. I cut the card stock on the 8-1/2" side so the card measures 4-1/4" x 11" before folding in half.  The card is folded at the top and opens at the bottom.

I die cut the pieces from the "Many Layers Blossoms" dies.  I did used the double sided sticky sheet on the card stock before I die cut all the flower pieces.  I set the flower dies on the piece and cut them all at once.

I cut the top part of the flower off. It's hard to measure but if you take the tip of that bottom leaf on the right corner, it's 4" up where the cut off part began.  I didn't cut it straight but the ribbon hides your mistakes. Ya gotta love that!!  I set that large flower image in place by removing the protective backing and pressing it down on the front of the card.

Then I took some ribbon, mine is retired.  I wrapped it around the card and the ends met in front where the words would go. I taped the ribbon ends in place. The ribbon starts at 1-1/4" from the top of the card.

I stamped the words from the "Dandelion Wishes" set using Smoky Slate ink. I thought that ink looked close to silver.  I didn't want to emboss the words with silver embossing powder. I'm lazy.  Though it would look pretty.  The words were die cut using the second largest "Stitched Circle" dies.  I added Dimensionals to the back and set it aside.

I took some silver thread and wound it around my fingers and taped it to the spot where the words would be.  Then I set the words in place on top of the thread and ribbon.

The smaller flowers were added. One of the flowers were put together using the thin piece on top of it's matching thick piece.  They were just set on the card using the sticky backing from the double sided sticky paper they were cut from.

A bow was tied and glue dots were used to hold it in place on the side of the circle.

A few pearl were added and the card was done.

I REALLY like how it turned out and would make this card again if I need a quick wedding card.

Thank you ever SO much for taking the time to stop by today,
Wanda
