Peaceful Moments, Poppy Moments, Thinking of You Card, 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I knew I had another flower set that had two layers to making the individual flower itself.  I was looking for my "Ornate Layers" dies and the "Peaceful Moments/Poppy Moments" set was right next to it. I think these were a bundle.  On my shelf they are just bound together so I know they were probably purchased together or as a bundle.

This card is easy to make.  The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White and textured it using the "Ornate Flowers" embossing folder.  That piece was taped to the front of the card.

I die cut the pretty flowery edged piece using the "Ornate Layers" die.

The words are from the "Peaceful Moments" set and were stamped on the "Ornate Layers" piece using black Memento ink.  This piece was then taped to the front of the card on top of the embossed piece.

I die cut the flower using Whisper White card stock for the back layer and I used the detail die and Daffodil Delight card stock.  The center of the flower is die cut from Early Espresso card stock. I did cut two of those pieces and glued them together.  When I cut the Daffodil Delight top piece I used a sticky sheet on my card stock to make the piece a sticker. I didn't want to try to get glue on the entire piece. I didn't want to deal with the mess.  I sponged Daffodil Delight ink on the Whisper White flower.  I affixed the thin detailed piece to the front.  I thought it looked too blah so I sponged on some Mango Melody ink. Now that I see how it looks, I should have sponged the ink on before I set the detailed layer in place.  But it is what it is and it still looks good.

The flower center was glued to the center of the flower.

The leaves were die cut using the adorable leaves from the "Poppy Moments" die set.  I die cut them using Granny Apple Green card stock. I cut two and taped them to the flowered frame piece.

The flower was set in place on top of the leaves using Dimensionals.

And that was it.  I am really liking those leaves. I may have to die cut one out and set it on my worktable so I can remember that there are some fun leaves to use on my cards.  I liked the leaf punch but it's retired.  These look like they'd be a lot of fun to add to cards.

I thank you SO much for taking the time to visit today,
Wanda
