The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Bubble Bath card stock for the top layer. I textured it using the "Exposed Brick" embossing folder.
Next I cut a 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" piece of Crumb Cake for the layer. On top of that layer is a 4-1/4" x 3" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Beautiful Bokek" 6" x 6" stack in the Berry Burst color.
On the piece of DSP I taped three strips of Basic White card stock that I stamped on. I took a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock and using the images from the "Petals of Beauty" bundle, I stamped the flowers on it. It's a two step stamping set so I stamped the solid image using Pretty in Pink. On top of that I stamped the Berry Burst detailed image. And I filled in the areas using the single flower stamp and Crumb Cake ink stamped full ink and then stamped again before re-inking.
Once I was done with the stamping, I cut the piece into strips. The two outer strips are cut at 3/4" x 4" and the center strip is 1" x 4". It taped the outer strips on top of the DSP first and then the center strip.
Using those same two step stamps, I stamped two with the Bubble Bath base and Berry Burst centers. I cut them out using the matching die.
I die cut the leaves from the same bundle using Bubble Bath card stock and Basic White card stock. There's also a leaf center die that I cut some Bubble Bath and Basic White pieces from.
The "hello" is from the "Everyday Arches" bundle and was stamped using Berry Burst ink on Basic White card stock. I cut it out using the "Labeled with Love" punch. I also cut a Crumb Cake one too. I cut the Crumb Cake on in half and taped each half to the back of the Basic White piece to give it a border. Dimensionals were added to the back.
The first thing I did was tape the bottom of the stems of the two large leaf clusters. Then I rolled some linen thread three times around my fingers and used a glue dot to hold it in place where the word piece was going to be.
The word piece was set in place and then the other elements were tucked in using a little glue on the bottoms.
I had some retired "Candy Dots" and I added a couple of Pretty in Pink ones to the front of the card and the card was done.
This was such a fun card to make. I love all of the little pieces that were die cut and tucked in place. It gave the card a lot of dimension. I think that a little Crumb Cake piece should have been added too but it is what it is and I actually like how it turned out!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda
