Love Notes, Endless Love, Valentine's Day Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Valentine's Day card to share with you. I was going to work on one this weekend but with the weather being a bit more doable tomorrow I thought I'd make a Valentine's Day card tonight so I can bring it to my mom tomorrow when we go visit her. She's in a nursing home and I heard it takes 2 weeks for the residents to get their mail. I don't know if it's true but I thought I'd just bring her card tomorrow when I see her. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Cherry Cobbler card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece from the "Love Notes" 6" x 6" stack. On the back of those hearts is the purple piece that you see on top of the hearts. That piece measures 2-7/8" x 5-1/4".

The strips were cut next. I thought the heart flowers were so cute so I cut 4 of them that measure 1" x 2-1/2" each. The Garden Green layer behind them measures 1-1/4" x 2-3/4".  I taped the pieces together and then taped them to the purple piece. Then that was taped to the hearts piece.

The Cherry Cobbler hearts were cut from the "Endless Love" die set.  Not thinking, I should have used a double sided sticky sheet before cutting them out. It would have made it much easier to set them in place. I had to use glue but it still got the job done, just a bit messier!

The "BE MY VALENTINE" sentiment piece is from the same "Love Notes" pack. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the bottom area of the card.

I used some of those cute hearts from the "Loose Valentine's" assortment container. They were glued in place to add a little more "bling" to the card. I liked the white ones because they just popped out on the green background.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside of the card and the card was done.

Now to write in it and get it set by my purse do I don't forget to bring it tomorrow.

Update on the beanie. You guessed it. Another failure. Though I did keep knitting to the end and I've been debating whether to finish it and sell it as an irregular or rip it apart for the 9th time and try again!  Persistent or stubborn?  I'm not sure which it is. Maybe crazy?? LOL

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Valentine's Day card,
Wanda
