The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on left.
Cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Beautiful Pattern" embossing folder on Basic White card stock. I glue it to the front of the card.
Next I cut a 3" x 4-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock. On top of that is a 2-3/4" x 4" piece of Basic White that was textured using the "Exposed Brick" embossing folder. I glued it to the '3" x 4-1/4" piece of card stock.
Next I cut the strips of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Brushed With Beauty" 12" x 12" package. I cut the long strip at 3/4" wide x 4" and the smaller one (which is the backside of the first image) was cut at 3/4" x 2-3/4".
I stamped the "hello" from the "Simply Said" set using Mossy Meadow ink. I cut it out using the 4th largest circle die in the "Stylish Shapes" set.
The flower was stamped from an image from "Petals of Beauty" bundle using Calypso Coral ink. I though it matched the flowers in the upper part of the DSP strip. I cut the flower out using a matching die in the bundle.
I taped the long strip down first, centering it as much as possible by eyeing it. Then I glued the circle in place. The green strip was glued on next.
Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.
The flower was set in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.
I love this layout and I do plan to use it again in the future. I made my copier paper sample of this card (and I pencil in the date so I can refer to it if needed). I have a huge stack of copier paper card samples. I like to have them in 3D so I can visualize it better.
This was a very fun card to make and I can't wait to play with it again. Maybe tomorrow! There's SO may things you can do with this layout.
Update on the beanie! Here it is, flaws and all. I'll be selling it as "slightly irregular". Every time I hear those two words I think of the store "Hurrah" from years ago that had a fun jingle, "It's slightly irregular, you hardly see or car...." I just dated myself, didn't I? LOL
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda
