The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Fresh Freesia card stock for the layer.
The Basic White layer was cut at 3-7/8" x 5-1/8". I textured the center using the "Glass & Garden" embossing folder. I centered it on the piece. I taped this to the Fresh Freesia piece and then that was taped to the front of the card.
The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I cut it out using the die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. When I set the die up on the card stock, I made sure the words were to the right of the die. I preferred to use a die instead of cutting a piece to fit.
The flowers are from the "Extraordinary Flora" washi tape roll. I took one section and affixed it to a piece of Basic White card stock and then cut it out using the matching die. I used the large double flower piece, a single flower and a long leafy branch. I cut the leafy branch because I didn't need two long ones, these are very long. I just trimmed around the one leaf so it looked pretty normal. The one on the top is from the middle of the long branch on the bottom.
To assemble the flowers I took the largest one and added a couple small Dimensionals and affixed it to the word piece. Get the flower close enough to the words but yet far enough so there's even white showing on each end of the words. After trimming the long branch I added the center part I trimmed and glued it to the word piece, tucking it under the large flower piece a bit. Then I glued on the single flower. And lastly I glued on the cut branch. I turned the piece over and added Dimensionals to the word piece.
I set the word piece in place on the front of the card and noticed that the greenery was sagging so I ended up adding Dimensionals to the back of them. I had to make them double thick on bottom branch/leaves and on the upper leafy part of the double flower. You'll be able to see where you need to double up on the Dimensionals.
And for a final touch I added three colored rhinestones to the front of the card and the card was done.
I like how this turned out and I really LOVE how fast it was to make!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,
Wanda
