The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
The DSP is from the "Painterly Pears" 12" x 12" package. I was looking for a card that used this sheet of DSP. I found it difficult to work with and when I ran across this card I knew I had to make it. Of course there were two full sheets of this in my package. I desperately wanted to use this sheet and today I did!
The words are from the "Label Me Grateful" and were stamped on a piece of Basic White card stock. They were cut out using the 4th smallest die in the "Everyday Arches" set.
I cut an Old Olive layer using the 5th smallest die in the same set. I taped the layers together and then I taped that to the front of the card centering it as much as I could by eyeing it.
The pears and flowers were fussy cut from another sheet in the same package.
I glued the large pear down first. I didn't like how the side of the pear was drooping so I took two pieces of scrap card stock and glued them together. Then I cut that into pieces, I added glue to each side and slipped it under the pear so it was level with the left side. Then the stem was glued to the pear. I added a the same glued card stock thickness to under the right leaf.
Next I added the double pears using Dimensionals. The flowers were glued in place behind the double pears and the card was done.
This was a fun card to make and I'm sure it would have been a lot quicker if I had the dies that cut out the pears but I didn't want to invest in them because I bought a lot of other bundles. Fussy cutting here wasn't bad. I'm very happy with the way this card turned out.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thank you card,
Wanda
